Nope, no country can survive without the EU. The campaign of fear says so and they wouldn't be lying would they?
The UK has secured its first post-Brexit trade deal, according to International Trade Secretary Liam Fox. The lucky country is Israel. No doubt this will be the first of many, and we can expect a virtual scrum in front of the UK Trade office by countries to secure the next best place in line. Brexit BEGINS: Liam Fox reveals FIRST new trade deal SECURED International Trade Secretary Liam Fox has revealed Britain has secured a first Brexit trade deal - a huge boost to Prime Minister Theresa May as the UK prepares to leave the EU and its restrictive trade limitations. Speaking at the forum, Mr Fox said: “As Britain prepares to leave the European Union and to ensure continuity for our businesses in both directions, we’ve reached agreement in principle today with our colleagues in Israel.
Just today: FORD announced that no deal will cost them 800m$ in 2019 alone and they probably will close down their factories. BBC revealed to be moving a part of its headquarters in Belgium. Over 500 panEU channels which bring in 1bn$ to the economy with base in the UK will have their licenses voided deal or no deal. Airbus highest exec called the handling of Brexit a disgrace and just because they have plants and employ 14.000 people it doesnt mean they wont move. The UK chancellor from Davos called the british business to accept that cheap labour is over and that they will have to adjust their business models (aka move). The EU27 are starting to get more and more benefits from Brexit. Thats why I'm all for Brexit just hopefully there wont be any deaths from IRA terrorism or medicine shortages. But in the end the british are reaping what they sowed.
'Operation Fear' in full redline mode as March 29, 2019 gets closer. Pedal to the metal time, right malakas?
When you are about to commit suicide the natural human response is fear after all. However I have always been an advocate of euthanasia. If someone is determined to blow his own brain he should be allowed to.
How the heck is fake news to report what BBC, Ford and Airbus are doing? I didnt even mention Jaguar Land Rover. wow what a world we live in when an actual report of straight facts are now fake news.
The head of Hard Brexiters said on tv that the queen must dissolve the parliament if the postponement of article 50 passes. What a democratic view!
They also haven't left the EU....if they are willing to ignore the outcome of the vote, what's the point in having another? Why not just ignore that one too? Why not just ignore the outcome of every vote until you get the results you want for everything?
It really is a democratic view. If the parliament ignores the results of the referendum, you have to dissolve that parliament and call for new elections.
So everytime the lawfully elected body doesn't agree with an advisory referendum they should be dissolved until they can make a decision that some want. Sounds worse than conducting ,legal for once, referendums until they get a result they want. I can only laugh at Riggs Moggs pretending to be a champion of "democracy" when at the same time asking to implement dictatorship tactics. These people are extremely dangerous. Super rich children of priviledged english lord families, that want to turn the UK into a tax haven only for their personal and their friends' gain while the common people will be in fear of dying in the streets. Just today some headlines : Novartis warns that british patients will be in danger if no deal. Irish PM warns of return of uniformed soldiers at the borders in Northern Ireland with physical checks and searches implemented.
Yea because they understand a strength of being in the U.K. allows them the to be E.U. HQ. I don’t think a lot of you Brexiters understand the strengths of being the Financial Capital of the E.U. along with being a major corporate hub.
Every time the government ignores the results of a vote they should be replaced with a government that won't ignore the results of votes. If the government can merely ignore any vote they don't like, what's the point of having them? I know you are a big fan of the anti-democratic EU, but you have a pretty hard task at hand convincing others that the best course of action is to ignore votes you don't like and just keep voting till you get a result you like.
It looks like the Tories have hired an attorney to help "de-select" MP's who are remainers at the next election. Tories call in top lawyer to boot out Remainer MPs The Campaign for Conservative Democracy confirmed it was establishing a legal fund for Tory associations across the UK to support association officers who want to hold their MPs to account. The move means that Remainer MPs including Dominic Grieve (Beaconsfield), Heidi Allen (South Cambridgeshire), Antoinette Sandbach (Eddisbury), Anna Soubry (Broxtowe), Sarah Wollaston (Totnes), Nick Boles (Grantham), Sam Gyimah (East Surrey), Nicky Morgan (Loughborough), Phillip Lee (Bracknell) and Justine Greening (Putney) are under threat from being booted out by their associations. From over on this side of the pond, this appears to be a very aggressive form of accountability for Tory Remainer MP's. This issue apparently comes up because MP's are put on a list by the party, if I understand correctly, and there has to be a way to get them off of the party list, if they are supporting an agenda that is contrary to what their constituents want.
It wasn't at all a report of what anyone is doing. It was a report of BS predictions like mass unemployment, recessions and chaos without joining the eurozone, or even on the VOTE for Leave.
So the UK House of Commons will vote tomorrow on a number of "Amendments" that could influence the process of Brexit going forward, as there are now 60 days until Brexit. This is interesting however, as these "Amendments" do not appear to be binding on the government. So question #1 is which "Amendments" will pass, if any? Question #2 is what does Theresa May's government decide to do if any of these "Amendments" pass? It appears that the "Amendment" most likely to pass is the 'No to no deal' amendment. Here is a quote from an article that discusses that amendment, with more discussion of the other "Amendments" at the link: Theresa May faces a ‘Super Tuesday’ showdown in the Commons as MPs compete to stamp their mark on the course of Brexit. No to no deal Spelman-Dromey amendment Tabled by Tory Dame Caroline Spelman and Labour’s Jack Dromey and rules out a no-deal Brexit. Support: 129 MPs have put their names to it, including 10 Tories, among them former minister Nicky Morgan. More than 220 MPs have also written a public letter to say they do not support a no deal. Will it pass? This could be one to watch as so many MPs have indicated support for taking no deal off the table. But less damaging to May, as not legally binding. I hope this does not pass. But if it does, it appears to me that Theresa May must decide that this will lead to "No Brexit" and that the will of the people in the Brexit Referendum must be respected over this non-binding "Amendment" vote.
Wow just WOW. May is delusional. And if what the WTO lawyers have said that already 5-7 countries have complained about the UK and that not even trading in WTO terms is immediate then the whole Torry party should be gathered up and flogged in public. Wtf are they doing with the lives of people. The supermakets have said that they get 40% of the food from Calais. There wont be fresh food in the shelfs. The health minister said that he will try to prioritize medicines over food. Are they serious? Forget protests in the streets, there will be blood. And after all that we have the BBC suggesting that Ireland should leave the EU and join the UK to solve the backstop. Little England ladies and gentlemen. Deluded, snob, arrogant xenophobic bullies living in their world of former imperial glory. Absolutely disgusting!! Im completely torn right now between wanting to watch them get their commeupance amd burn down in flames and feeling sorry for people starving and dying without insuline and cancer treatment.
