She made a stupid statement, the people next to her realized it and started laughing, then she realized it and paused for too long. It was a stupid statement, nothing more.
I don't believe it is imminent, but that doesn't mean that there aren't forces at work whose motives should be revealed not further hidden. She stated her intentions plain as day. Oh, no she didn't, she just mis-spoke... and then paused awkwardly for way too long!!

From your posts, I think we can both easily agree that it supercedes nearly any gaffe by Bush, Biden, or Palin and could well lead to the utter destruction of the American political landscape as we know it. So... Obama is opening up drilling so that the oil folks can get all the rigs build in time for Maxine Waters to nationalize them. It's all becoming clear now.
