We have the #1 defense and mostly without junkyard dawg Pat Beverley

You mean the greying of every other team? I think that’s just to provide contrast to make it easier to read.

You must have selected multiple teams as "My Teams" under MyESPN. Only the Rockets are highlighted for me.

Sacramento is scoring at will against Memphis (86 points with 3 minutes in the 3rd). We'll get that 1 spot in PPG if Sacramento gets to 114 tonight.

We might lose our standing in offense if Dallas beats the Sixers by 90.

We were never going to win a championship playing like we did last year. We were unserious about defense, and everybody knew it. The Blazers summed it up when they talked about how surprised they were at meeting a real defense in the Spurs, and what walkovers we were at that end.

We may not have enough firepower this year to win it all, but at least we're on the right track. Conscientious defense is the foundation. If we stick with it, we won't need an offense as hot as last year's to get us through a couple rounds in the playoffs.

I don't think it's just ease of schedule so far. Guys who mailed in their defense last year (Harden, Dmo) are working a lot harder. That plus the 2 good defenders we already had (Howard, Beverley), a defensive stud (Ariza) and some extra from Terry (what a nice block last night!) are putting us in elite company.

This team is elite. Let's just enjoy this while it lasts. I am stunned at where we sit right now and our prospects for this year has me very happy.

First team in NBA history to shoot at least 10 threes in 8 straight games to open the season

You didn't even include our game against GSW. True, we lost that game, but the numbers from that still impact our defensive ratings.

Without Dwight Howard (the Warriors repeatedly attacked the basket without much resistance) and we were still able to hold them 7 points under their per game average so far this season.

And let's not forget that we still have one of Morey's favorite weapons... flexibility!

We shoot .474 on the road and .410 at home. Is Toyota Center a bad shooting arena?
