Sounds like a real Tyler Ivey sort of scenario you are envisioning.

At this point, yes. Ivey was dumb because he had some leash. Whitley is at the end of the line and he’s still acting like he has a $100M+ contract in his future he needs to protect.

Maybe he doesn't care if he gets DFA'd. He can always try to catch on with another org, if he doesn't want to accept further AAA work here. He's got the $3.15m bonus he signed for, which is more money than most people make in a lifetime.

Whitely is who he is until he proves otherwise… granted, expectations have certainly been tempered long before he got his own thread.

He’s in the LMJ category of whatever he can do as a positive, great… otherwise go with somebody who deserves the spot.

For real man...every freaking time he misses his opportunities. Get some Toradol, pull your big boy pants up, and go out there to throw.

I don’t see him ever becoming a decent MLB player.

Maybe you can take pills some random guy gives you in a Walmart bathroom or work on a throwing underhand of practice grips on a new screwball you want to showcase.

Hope some of the smarter social marketing gurus in the Astros org knows that:
    F ucking
    W heelin’ / Whiffin’
    T onight / Today

…should be a thing for Forrest Whitley this year.

Forest Whitley is the rollercoaster of prospects.. and the rides almost done.

Dude is going to be a 35 year old minor league player and still think he is on the brink of a Cy Young trophy…. Somehow reality is thin with this fella.
