Trump doesn't have to do quid-pro-quos with foreign governments no more. Grassley gives him an investigation for free. I guess it's the sweet deal Trump gets for not running his mouth too much during the impeachment. Can someone check on Kushner's records while checking the Hunter files? Sounds like congress doesn't care about the level of distrust Americans have for that institution, when they are doing political retribution investigations.

What about the supposed autonomy of the FBI that is supposed to mitigate the risk of politically-motivated investigations (or abstention from investigations)? I don't think it's appropriate for a Cabinet member to exercise operational control over the FBI to this level.

This decision is probably one of the most morally weighty decisions he will ever make in his whole life.

Trump will continue his scorched earth policy, anyone who had anything to do with the negative implications will feel the wrath of Over Lord Trump. Bring on the 2020 elections so we can vote this clown out of office..........even though part of me feels like he will be reelected and the Republicans will become even more of a group of douche bags

 

And just what did the department of defense say re: retaliation against Col Vindman (fired, escorted from WH) and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Cooper (who is being transferred away from her job)...

 

The White House was already saying they intended to dramatically shrink the NSC staff size. Hard to fathom they'd keep the Vindman brothers and let other people go, right or wrong. They won't be in the bread line though. They'll still work for DoD.

Something to think about for all those who, in their mind, excuse political retributions and politically driven repressions of opposition by the party in power. (eg what Trump was doing to his likely opponent, Biden)

People like Vindman die for our democratic ways and y'all condone Trump trampling on those values.

Are you suggesting a new thread for all of Trump's threats and actual acts of retaliation? That might be a good idea.

Believe me, our POTUS will keep this going much longer than any liberal. The man never met a butt-hurt or insecurity or criticism he could recover from.
