    Well not exactly, but this is where people get confused. Yes, you can still catch the flu after getting a flu shot, but your symptoms won't be as severe as if you hadn't taken the vaccination. Yes, you can have a fever and achy body after getting a flu shot, but they won't be nearly as bad as a full blown flu.

    I really don't understand why people in the health field insist it won't make you sick. I rarely get the flu. We were given free flu shots one year at work and not even an hour later I could feel the first flu symptons creeping up on me and had them for over a month. Maybe it doesn't make everyone sick. Maybe it weakens your immune system allowing for the flu to come upon you. But whatever it is, I know a few people who stated they they rarely get the flu and have came down with the flu immediately after the shot.
    If someone comes down with the flu every year, maybe the shots are good for them, but otherwise, i don't recommend them.

    your body is better prepared when given a flu shot, its not confusing at all!
