The first game's loss is definitely on Jalen

Again not furious, this is his first playoff experience and I don’t even think we should judge him for it. But if looking at it objectively he should shoulder a lot of the blame.

We shot sub 21% from three and 55% from the free throw line. I argue we don’t need to make major strategy changes because if the warriors want to deny Jalen others will hit shots.

You literally said Jalen is inefficient and not worth his contract. Better check his season stats.

A lot of the blame is one thing. Being called the primary reason for the embarrassing loss is another. All the perimeter players struggled. The Warriors did deny Jalen - it's in every analysis of the game online including from our starting PG - and Jabari, Sengun and Amen were guarded one on one most of the night.

You can't sit and hope things just go in your favor in the playoffs, the Warriors can say the same about everyone outside Butler and Curry. Those other guys won't all shoot like crap the rest of the series also.

You see I asked you what you want to do after we're both done deriding Jalen's individual performance before the trade season starts and your answer is basically to do nothing. To be happy with a strategy which has your best scorer only able to take his 3rd and 4th most efficient shots is absurd. It would be like resigning Curry to the dunker's spot. It would be like asking Ja Morant to win you a game with his shooting.

If nothing changes, what we'll get from Jalen moving forward is his pull up %'s from the regular season. No drives (highest efficiency shot). No easy catch and shoot (second highest efficiency shot). It's logical that he won't match his regular season % in this offense, that's exactly what's most likely to happen. We've neutered his game and simultaneously asking him to STEP UP?

I want my team to win yo, if that means benching Green go ahead and bench Green, but this strategy we're employing right now is making the game harder on all the perimeter players and most of our talent is on the perimeter. Alpi CAN play on a perimeter oriented team very much like Draymond can, but the perimeter oriented players CAN'T get to the rim with the paint clogged like a mf'er.

Ime has to do something else against Kerr or Kerr will keep daring him to do it. Kerr will give him ANYTHING except the thing he personally wants. He will let him win ANY other way but he's clearly drawn a line in the sand here. Look how hard they were guarding a Jalen Green who was like 4 of 15. Kerr doesn't care, he is daring the bigs to beat his perimeter duo. If Ime doesn't wise up, it's going to be check mate very soon.

The stats that really matter is how he does in games that have significance or expection attached to them. Jalen is a player that shines the brightest when there is no importance or expection.

It's coached fault for not explaining to Jalen not to try to lay it up when there are 3 defenders taller than you directly in front of you guarding the rim. You think things like this are common sense? No this takes years of experience to understand and it's the coaches job to teach him.

It has been effective for some games and not in others. Overall they have been 25-15 in games he’s started with notable wins over Cavs, Boston, OKC. Coaches believe he can win some 1-1 battles with dribble drive and playmaking option. He also plays well at the short corner and around the rim. I don't like him starting against bigger teams like MIN or DEN. I also don't like his lack of a 3 pt game.

But I think if they use Amen as a point of attack at different areas of the court he will get guys open on the weak side corner or wing since they over load their defense on the dribble drive every time.

Fred needs to touch the ball less and only be there for those kick outs.

Let’s move Sengun around instead of driving 1-1 from high post or top of key. lets also do some 5 out offense and 51 screens with the guards.

    • Attack with Amen and Jalen from wing screens and screens further out 28-30 ft to move their defense
    • look for weak side wing and corner 3
    • Attack with Sengun from elbows and wings.
    • Use 51 screen with Sengun and guards/roll amen
    • Downscreens and pindowns to free shooters
    • Do not let fred hold the ball
    • Maybe we can use Amen and Jalen backcourt with Bari at the 4

Delusion is believing that tomorrow is promised. It's just not. Do it today and expect to get the most. If you lose you lose. Address the issues at that point.

You are the one that invalidated this thread's existence. Because even though it passes around blame, it did not include YOUR one specific blame. So to the dumpster all this goes. Dont project on me.

That said, there's still games to play. I did not give a conclusive verdict on Jalen forever. Thats a 1 game opinion. I am giving room for adjustments. So its actually on that same page

    Aaaahhahahaha

Good thing you didn't commit to ANYTHING and you ducked the fact that you're talking about some sh*t that has nothing to do with the point of the thread: assessing the share of accountability for the first loss.

This team goes as far as Jalen takes them. Which is a lot to ask if we're being honest.

First game loss is on FVV and Jalen, they share the blame but the 2nd game win is definitely on Jalen.

Yes you display that. Look at when Jalen caught his rythem. It was after Butler got hurt and we started making sepreration. Before that he looked like he did from game 1. When Butler went down and we was breaking away you don't think that boosted his confidence? Look though all my posts, I don't talk about his physical ability to score, it's always his mental capacity. I stand by what I said even more so this game. When and why he made his run matters. Since you directly insult me I will hurl one back, stupidity at it's finest is a person who gets emotionally invested after a player having a good game and comes on forums to call other people stupid. I will have to repeat myself for you. Look at how Jalen played pre Butler injury and rockets scoring run and post. Ime talks about getting Jalen's confidence up all the time, he did so even after game one and that is exactly what I'm talking about when it comes to Jalen, not his ability to score when hes in the right headspace. I am sure you won't comprehend what I am saying and that's ok, but yes I feel even more so after seeing this game about Jalen. As it was happening live I was talking to my friend and even predicted he would start scoring the exact time he did.
