Hmmmm, my little fun might have backfired on me. Heh. You know what Xiki, this is actually a very tough question, because I could honestly see Morey trading ANYONE on this team if it made the Rockets better in the future. I think it all hinges on Tmac, but I could see them trading anyone this year, if the right deal comes into play. I know, not very much of a prediction, just very hard to read, IMO. DD
I can see Circle C from my house and always wondered why there were those red flashing lights up high out there warning planes. Now I know...
Or not trade anyone? I assume goal #1 is to get under the lux cap while not hurting the future. But, what is this year all about? It sure isn't about winning because One-and-Done is the best (?) case scenario. What is the thinking on McGrady? Do the Rox want the salary space? Still won't get them much after paying Scola (8 mil? and then more in the following season$), Lowry (3 mil?). I still subscribe to the belief that a TMc trade is the FA summer for the Rox. Who would be targeted, GS? 6ers? Knixies? Man, what would the Knicks give the Rox, in addition to lux cap relief, if DM the GM sent them McG for Curry/Jeffries - three unprotected 1sts? Hill? Chandler? Their own cable network?
I believe they have to trade him, because right now the Rockets control him as an asset and contract, but once it expires the Rockets lose all their leverage with him, and he can go wherever he likes, and the Rockets would not benefit that much with his contract coming off the books and the free agents that they will have to pony up $$$ to keep. Nah, someone else will more than likely do it. You know you are dying to live here amongst the chosen ones.... DD
