The absolute last thing the Texans need is another receiver, assuming everyone is back next year from this year's group.

open field tackling is the one thing he is quite capable of.

In that pic, none of the Colts have moved either. You have to account for reaction time.

I rewatched the game last night on NFL Network. Why? I have no idea.

But the point is that I saw that play and replayed it in slow motion. True, it wasn't as bad as the picture suggests, but we WERE out of position.

Right after that play, they showed a short clip of an interview with Manning talking about the play. He said something to the effect of "well, their guy made a big hit on Addia and I thought he made a great effort holding onto the ball. We noticed they were kind of celebrating a little bit, so we quick-snapped them and because of that, we were able to get a nice gainer on the play."

    Translation:

"The Texans were stupid enough to celebrate giving up 5 yards on 1st down, so we took advantage of them, like we always do. Same old Texans. But my coach told me to be humble, so as hard as it may be, I trying."

I know we were out of position, I was just objecting to the assertion that Amobi wasn't ready because he was still in his 3 point stance. He very well may have not been ready but you can't tell that from the picture because none of the Colts have moved either.

The thing that gets me about the celebration is that Addai was juggling the thing the whole way and even the announcers were amazed he held on. That play should have been blown up. Dunta should have actually been embarrassed that he couldn't dislodge the ball from a guy who never really had it to begin with. Yeah, you laid a hard hit, but in a situation like that, you'd expect the reception to never be made. It looked good, Dunta, but you failed and you shouldn't have been celebrating in the first place. You should have been pissed that it went down as a completion.

You know.....watching the replay last night, I honestly don't think Dunta even knew Addai held onto the ball. Seriously. After he hit him, he got right up to celebrate. He didn't even look back. I don't think he knew.

i was a huge dunta fan but his antics early in the season, followed by lousy play and boneheaded moves...i'm done with him. He's an average CB (at best) who has been getting outplayed by a rookie.

cut bait and get in some younger, cheaper talent.

Couldn't agree with this more. Let him go. Do it now for all I care. He's getting burned for big gains/plays in every game. Teams are actually attacking him. Sit his a** on the bench. Maybe it will light a fire.

I totally agree, this guy is having a horrific season. Unless he steps it up BIG TIME he is gonna get a 0 dollar offer from "Rick"
