I'm not quite sure anyone said or implied that the Middle East is a continent but it is a specific region that is recognized worldwide. Something else for you to remember is that Europe is only its own continent in a political sense and not a factual sense. A continent is a large mass or body of land surrounded by water on all sides. While Europe and Asia are recognized as two individual continents for political reasons, Europe is actually nothing more than a large peninsula off of the Asian continent. Now since Israel is part of the Asian continent as is all of the countries of Europe we can now see that they are really all part of the same continent. I must be really board to spend part of my morning talking about this.
