What is yalls problem????? If a player had a fault in his game that is costing the team, I'm going to point it out.

    Let me repeat that!

If a player has a fault in their game, I'm going to point it out. If I don't think a player can overcome his deficiencies, I'll point it out. If I think the organization made a mistake - I'll say it.

And I was wrong. Well guess what! No one's 100% right! Amazing! Wow....how can that be!

So one last time...criticizing something doesn't mean I hate the player or I'm not a fan. Get that through your thick skull.

I second to what DavidS said! I had argument with DS before, and disagree on many things about the Rockets' playing, but I could feel he was/is a Rockets fan. That cannot be said about you.

I guess this place can get really annoying, and it's not quite as good as it used to be.

But, the fact remains, this is the best basketball bbs on the 'net, bar none. The board is just changing and evolving with the team. Some, of us have stopped posting as much (like me), while the rest of us have simply adapted.

Its just the nature of the board, and when games like last night happen, we all come back out of the woodworks and it's like the glory days all over again. :)

Thanks, I thought it was NYC bashing all night about how poor Yao played and I was sick about it since I know Yao has pride and fire in him to try to get the best out of himself. If you cannot even see this, then you just don't konw how to appreciate people's work and that means you shouldn't stick around.

Well, that explains why you are a bandwagon fan. :) Grow up and learn how to appreciate. Wait, didn't you say you have watched rockets for 20 years? Guess you never grew up and never will. :)

    You are an idiot.
How the hell do you know if Yao plays with heart or not?

Idiots like you think because if a guy can't jump out of the gym or run a 100m dash in less than 10 secs then he does not play with heart!

No wonder you never had any issues with Stevie, you have the same brain. BTW, he is in Orlando, why don't you go there?

Ya'll all need to lay off H-NYC. Ya'll act as if you've never done anything wrong or posted something negative. Everyone of us is guilty of it, so lay off. So what if he was bashing Yao earlier on Clutch, he's praising him now. H-NYC probably saw that Yao has much more potential than 18 and 9. Yao's playoff average this year is far better than that 18/9 and his playoff average is what H-NYC wanted to see a long time ago. Why do you have to rub some BS in somebodies face to feel good about yourself? You seriously ought to think about that for a second. Be happy with your triumph, not someone else's failure.

Change what it means to be a Houston fan. Don't bash the opponent or someone you see as 'against you', use that energy to lift your own team. If we keep acting like this we don't deserve to do well in the playoffs.

Screw all you homers who pull the bandwagon crap on me. ;)

It's because people like us who aren't afraid to tell Yao he needs to play with heart that he wakes up one day to realize it. We just want him to play with some passion.

Some people believe in coddling superstars and treating them like babies. They make excuses for them, and think they are children. That is folks like my attackers here.

I believe in shooting striaight. Some will not be able to handle it - most actually, but at the end of the day, you speak what you feel, and you can never regret that. Fact is, I have no regrets about calling Yao out when he played like a unic.

    1. I've found it hard to watch Rox games on tv this year because the crowd has been amongst the quietest if not quietest crowds among the playoff teams. I am in NY and tried starting up a Rox fan club in NYC last year. I just don't understand how a team with two of the most exciting players in the NBA can have such a quiet and partially empty arena. The fans in Chicago, NY, Sacramento, LA, San Antonio, etc. go nuts.

    2. I think Yao has played with a lot of heart the moment he put on a Rox uniform. He may not always be consistent, but he does always seem to play hard and plays as best as he can. I think the same thing can be said for all of the guys that the Rox have been playing this year from Sura to Howard to Bowen to Barry to T-Mac to etc.

You're an idiot if you think I need to qualify my opinions and if you interpret my expectations to how it fits your argument, and generally make stupid comments.

They weren't a month ago. They didn't have the consistency they are showing now, the grittiness. They were blowing leads and depending on other teams mistakes. Yao was playing tentatively.

But Dallas gave their best shot yesterday and every time this team responded. They played in a way I haven't seen a Rockets team play in 10 years.

Being a sports fan, you understand how painful it is to believe and then watch your team lose. It sucks. It hurts. You get your hopes up and your heart gets ripped out of you.

Before yesterday I was secretly hoping this team would do well. I secretly hoped that Yao would get his act together, I could see the team making the steps....but I knew they weren't there yet. Sloppy play, poor execution, a lack of condience...too many problems. I didn't see it. I didn't see that swaggar and honed edge that championship teams have. JVG had done a marvelous job in transforming T-mac into the leader of this team. That was the key. And now the benefits are showing.

I saw it for the first time yesterday.

There is only one team that can beat the Rockets now....Detroit. See you Pistons in the finals...

You're right on. I remember H-in-NYC bashing Yao saying he's not playing with heart when Yao was being pushed, shoved, beat up and rape in the paint, Yao still got up and took it like a man and keep on fighting.

P.S. Houstonian-in-NYC, when Yao did not have good number doesn't mean he's not playing hard, when he was laying it all out there that's all any fan can ask for. Sometimes I wonder guys like you never even watch the game, just go by the numbers.

Is it true? From his posts in 2002 when we drafted Yao, it doesn't seem to be the case. IIRC, he has said Yao would at best become a decent center in the league and wasn't worth the 1st pick. So I guess 18/9 should be enough to meet his expectations.

Or may be H-NYC has had a change of heart and become a believer so he think Yao should be producing at 25-12 by now?

So what's your position now, H-NYC?
