Having high draft picks AND an organization that can develop them certainly does work. The Rockets suck at player player development.
Related to this topic, I have an existential question that has been tormenting me lately: Is the Treadmill of Mediocrity really worse than the Peloton of Suck?
no because you also need to be good at developing and not screwing players, creating a good culture, coaching, psychology, interpersonal intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, marketing and milion of other things that are literally incompatible with tanking! tanking only works if you move goalposts...yes, you can collect a lot of players with 'potential' by tanking but cant win it all... you could also collect a lot of players with potential without tanking...LOL you can also win it all without tanking and that's actually something that literally always happens... teams that do not tank win it all!
