Morey needs to get on the phone with ATL or Portland for sign & trade options for either Josh Smith or LMA.
The fact that he hasn't agreed with Houston yet makes it clear that GS is his #1 choice. He's just waiting it out to see if they are able to make the necessary moves to get him there. We are his fall back plan. If GS can't make the moves by the end of the day then he'll be in Houston but just know we weren't his first option.

Not worse than the decision. Maybe it feels that way since we're intimately involved. But LeBron's ordeal was far worse.
@InsiderJayNBA: Source maintains HOU trying to get Josh Smith locked up which would guarantee Howard's commitment. Source hasn't been wrong yet.
LOL. Youu ain't hearing anything the rest of us aren't hearing thekad: it's gonna be GSW... "The die has been cast". Go back to your hole.
Totally agree that it feels like Houston is being used as leverage for the Lakers to do the S&T with GS for Barnes moving Bogut to a 3rd team.
oh but obviously you do, hence the response.... just overheard some executive saying Houston deal couldn't be beat...

Link Howard, according to a source, indicated that he intended to leave the Lakers, and that he was intrigued by the opportunity in Golden State. And after Iguodala turned down offers from both Sacramento and Denver, Golden State made its play. Howard, of course, has yet to announce where he will sign. The Rockets still appear to have the best chance to sign him, though one would be foolhardy to suppose that the famously indecisive Howard had officially ruled out returning to Los Angeles or going to Golden State or Dallas. A Twitter post earlier Friday by the Orange County Register that Howard had made his decision was walked back a few minutes later.
What concerns me is they are still saying Lakers are in the mix. It seems Houston is being used to either get him to Golden State and if it doesn't work out go back to LA.
People need to relax. Players take time every year before signing with a team in sports. I'll never forget everyone at NYYFANS freaking out when CC took time to sign with the Yankees saying it was proof he was signing with Anaheim.
