A lot of posters on here suddenly emo? Calm down. We still have a very good young team even if Howard doesn't come here.

The biggest issue is that FA just don't like the Houston market...LA, Miami, NY and San Francisco will always seem more attractive if the teams are in a similar level talent-wise.

is bogut worth a first? he's constantly injured and has two more years on his contract? have the warriors spike the nba's collective punchbowl?

They've been saying this for days. They want no part of Bogut and his contract since they are so far over the luxury tax line already.

I ran the numbers quickly and it would almost HAVE to be Klay, Barnes and Bogut in order to create cap space for Howard at max and Iggy @12 million.

We can't. Unless we trade both Lin and Asik for Smith, the Rockets will take on MORE salary than they give out. The idea of the Smith trade following Howard signing is because the Rockets can go over the cap by that point. They would've traded Asik+young PF(say Jones) at ~$10mil and get back Smith at ~$15mil. But the deal makes no sense until Howard signs for the max first.

the going rate for late first round pick is not 14 million

teams have sold late first picks for 3-4 million

why would the price tag spike up 500%?

Wellp, how long until the lakers settle for bogut and one of thompson or barnes?

****ing utah. Morey should have gave them picks to back out of this deal. It makes no sense.
