Why we even want Smith? Really, I'd pay Paul Millsap 8 million a year and he would turn out better than Smith if I were Morey. "Star" does not always work. I'd prefer a blue collar guy working hard than picking Smith, seriously!

We are looking for swings that can stick the 3. Most of the Rockets offensive problems last year were when teams flooded the paint and required 3 point shooters to make them pay. IF Howard signs it will be even more of an issue. It is simple, a defense can flood the perimeter or flood the lanes against the Rockets but not both, and last year teams flooded the paint to cut lane penetration and easy post lobs off... With a few sharpshooters that won't happen as much, plus having erasers inside like Howard and Smith would limit Korver's weaknesses.

I was thinking Kobe gets traded to the Mavs and the Lakers resign Dwight. So that Kobe was the real problem. Who knows? I could see that being sort of a realistic scenario though, I think Cuban would definitely take the risk on Kobe despite what he said.. Also if the backup plan for the Mavs is getting Big Al then talk about no frontcourt defense lol...they should also sign Calderon as well.
