I've spent a decent amount of time in all 3 areas (with most of my life in SF). LA is the best IF you have money, no ifs and or buts, with all of the food, women, nightlife, and things to do (if you don't have money and are caught living in the bad parts and stuck in traffic because all the other people with no money are driving in the same direction, it's another story). SF/SJ is the best if your focus and priorities are on outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, etc. Hou is by FAR the cheapest and has zero state income tax (whereas Cali has the highest in the country).

So for most of the country, Hou is probably the best because it is so affordable, and the most affordable place to retire as well. If you have lots of money, LA wins hands down. If you want to be hiking, skiing, and doing stuff like that all day, SF can win.

If I was a multi-millionaire, what care would I have where I live?

And how much time during the season does anyone have to "play". Hell, they can't even get practices in.

So all this city talk is just silly to me.

Where does he go Tom Penn?!

I think he goes to Houston. James Harden ready to go, Chandler Parsons a friend of his, so many pieces there, so much to offer. Houston is ready, waiting and that's the place.

(Adande) I agree Tom. I think he goes to Houston. However, because he's Dwight Howard, I won't go to Vegas and put money on it until we see where he signs.

Yeah, but doesn't that mean his auto-correct saved it already, meaning he had already typed the strayd12 word before that??

The Rockets' future might be brighter if Dwight signs, but it's still going to be bright if he doesn't. Same with the Lakers, but for different reasons.

@ESPNChrisPalmer: Texting with a source very familiar with Howard's thinking. Hold tight...

There's the time before the game, after practice and after the game. What is you only have one day off between games, get on a plane and fly home and then fly back?

Good Analysis. I used to think this was a deal breaker for the Rockets but I guess he has the rest of his life to live like a baller.
