To be honest, I'm leaning towards Dwight stays in LA. I think he's far too keen on the secondary aspects of basketball to leave LA. He keeps saying he wants to win but in the end his vanity will be his downfall. I would gladly eat crow if I'm wrong, but I doubt it.
gary washburn @GwashNBAGlobe 14h Danny Ainge said he made courtesy call to Dwight Howard's reps to see interest in coming to #celtics through s & t. Answer was no.
If he chooses LA, then that is a blessing for us because his head isn't in the right place. Happy to see our front office came with it though. Bynum anyone?
They can insure Bynum's contract like they did for Yao & TMac plus I think we'd get a disabled player exception if he got hurt wouldn't we? Idk.
It is very telling that only C.Paul has signed out of all the top 15 free-agents, it tells me that if Dwight does not sign, we will be getting someone significant maybe not tier 1, but a household name.
Damn. Went to bed about 10 last night and like many of you my first instinct when I rolled over at 4am was to grab my ipad and refresh this thread. What a kick in the b@lls to see how fast this thread died.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>If Pelicans can't trade Robin Lopez, CAN buy him out by July 5 for mere $500.000 to work on needed flex for Evans & Jrue Holiday's arrival</p>— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) <a href="https://twitter.com/ESPNSteinLine/statuses/352013400177512449">July 2, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> If this is true, I think New Orleans would interested in trading Anderson for Asik.
i agree. i obviously want him in houston, but i have a feeling he will stay in LA. we will end up with j smith for 4 years and will probably win a couple of playoff series and might even make it the conf finals but thats it for the next 4 years with harden, cp25, and j smooth
I always felt that he didnt have the balls to leave another team again, especially the Lakers. Either that or he wants to be a hero and come back after being supposedly so close to leaving. Man, my optimism sure has died down
