In my eyes that could only mean the draft gods were smiling on the Rockets.

To land Brewer and Bargnani in the same draft would have this board going crazy for the rest of the summer with NBA championship speculation.

I gotta say I would do your deal in a heart beat.

    OK THIS IS SCARY...

nbadraft.net previously had Carney at 8th spot. Just now they changed it to Randy Foye like draftexpress.

    !?!?!?

They basically are all scouts there. They've known some inside info in the past.

You have to ask yourself why the sudden change.

I just don't think the Rockets will be drafting Randy Foye. He does not fit the mold IMO. However he would provide some scoring in a Point Guards body, not exactly what JVG has in mind if you ask me.

I dont like how every mock draft has us taking Foye either. I've said it before but he seems a bit redundant since we already have Head. He might be a better ball handler but thats probably it.

I think Foye would be a good fit if we had size at SG. Since Wesley and Bogans are FAs, are we have at SG is Head, who is another combo guard.

I really think JVG and Co. are set on adding size to our backcourt. Even though Foye might be the scorer we are looking for, at 6-3, I think they would rather look for some size and athleticism (Carney or Brewer).

Foye would be an excellent fit in Philly, perhaps a trade with them?

One thing I like about Foye is his Wade-esque play. We could use that, right?

Is Foye the 2nd coming of Steve Francis?

toronto will have to decide if they want bargnani or aldridge. i think they're leaning for bargnani because that's what espn thinks. :p

as for thomas' top 3 promise. i bet you it's the bobcats. why? because they have been talking to toronto about a trade involving #3 and knight for #1. why would they want to leap frog the bulls? it must be because they want someone the bulls want.

who do the bulls want? either thomas or roy, but thomas is the one with the promise.

i think that trade will go down. toronto can still take bargnani or aldridge at #3 and add brevin knight.

it might look something like this:

tor - thomas (traded to the bobcats)
    chi - roy
cha - bargnani (traded to the raps)
    por - morrison
    atl - shelden
    min - aldridge
    bos - gay
hou - redick? (top 10 promise can't be the warriors who want o'bryant. seattle wants to trade the pick so who know's what the team to aquires it will want. the rockets are the only team that makes sense if you believe in promises.

I really think he is more of a Mike James type player. I would say he is a better long range shooter than Steve was coming out of college, but I doubt he has the jumping ability Steve had.

Yeah it's "The Puerto Rican Steve Francis"

    Diaz the PG from Miami.

Steve had a 40 vertical off a stand and 46 off one step, this Diaz guy has 42 off a stand and 48 off one step.

That's just one inch less than Nate Robinson, but Diaz is 6-2.

The Suns said he touched as high as Amare on the backboard, and again the guy is 6-2.

according to draftexpress it seems he was very impressive in a minnesota workout (against brewer btw) and that the wolves are likely to pick him now ...

That would be huge. If Atlanta goes Shelden, and Minny goes Foye, then one of the "top 6" will fall to us. And if Boston goes PG or C, then we'd have a choice (unless that C was Aldridge). I'm kind of worried about the possiblity of Minny trading with NOLA/OKC, that would make sense for them, but would be bad for us.

What does McCants' knee mean for Minny's draft plans?
