I wish Tmac would take notice and attack the rim like D-Wade does.

Lol. that game tells me Wade is overrated. he's not clutch at all and his ft basically bails him out.
when he spins, you could tell that he travels.. -_- watch some clips. im too lazy to find some right now but u guys know what i mean. With Kobe, that guy gets all the right fouls.

i was pulling for the heat like crazy so dallas wouldn't get a championship, but it's no comparison. wade got fouls called on dallas like i've never seen before and hopefully won't see again. it's not good for the game.

if i cared at all about dallas fans i'd be pissed for them but f#$k it, i'm glad the heat won. dirk even with all his flopping was jealous of wade.

Well, at least DWade drives to the basket to get his fouls called... Dirk gets his fouls by taking jump shots

In the Finals, Wade hit several tough shots late in games where no foul was called. He is incredibly clutch even when he doesn't attack the basket.

Jordan averaged 10 free throws per game only twice in his career. One of those seasons, he took 24 shots per game, and the other season he took 27 shots per game. Wade is taking 19 shots per game this season. Plus, Wade is shooting about two three point attemtps per game this year, when he usually shoots less than one per game. Jordan averaged about .6 three point attemtps per game during those two seasons. I'd guess that Jordan put in a LOT more effort to get his free throws than Wade currently is.

LeBron's uncalled traveling is Scrub-league compared to Kevin Garnett's.

If last year's WCF called even remotely fairly, Dallas wouldn't have got a shot at the Finals. If the Spurs are shooting above 50% and scoring more than 100 points, no team could have beaten them in a 7 game series. One game yes, but 4 games out of 7? Those refs are making this game a joke. Does anyone think Heat would have sustained a chance against the Spurs?

Mavs' benefit of favorable calls evened out in the Final, by the Heat. If one player score more from the freethrow line than field goals, every now and then, that's ok. But if one player does that most of the times, those refs should be fired and put into jail.

First, I am sick of how the NBA has turned the perimiter a game for the biggest panzies. I miss the physical defense.

Second, D-wade embarassed the Mavs in the finals so he automatically became one of my favorite players no matter what. But I am thinking this is how it went down. Riley sat the team down to watch a tape of the Mavs to learn how to defend them. Well, Wade learned a little more from Dirk than how to defend him and abused it.

Even without the 2 or 3 questionable calls a game he got during the finals. D-Wade attacks the rim more than any other player in the league. That is his game. He would have still gone to the free throw line plenty of times and is why he still does. Ofcourse Detroit is going to hate him. He knocked them out of the playoffs last year and would have the year before too if he did not get a rib injury.

Not to take anything away from the guys, but teams with floppers get somewhere, teams without them don't.
I saw many plays where nobody was even arround wade and fe got the call. But he's not intentionally flopping the way Dirk and Manu do.

Well in all the times I've seen Tmac attack the rim and there's body contact, there's rarely a call. After a while, being fouled consistantly w/ no rewards only hurts your team.

Please educate me why in 1988 when MJ got his 38 ppg, the league were averaging 109.9 points, we haven't seen more than 97 for quite some years now.

80s defense is not comparable to todays'. MJ played against 6-2 defenders who have no athleticism by today's standard.

Do not confuse low-scoring and defense. Teams in the 80's played at a faster pace with more possessions.

I beg to differ. Based on the stat of www.basketball-reference.com
    In 1987, the league averages 1.237 pts/FGA, and in 2006, it's only
1.228. At the same time, FT% is about the same, 3Pt% is way much better in 2006. I'd say shooting skills improve, particularly from beyond the arc, while it's much more contested within the arc with a lot of less fast break chances.

Because players back then could make a mid jump shot. I'm talking about all 5 positions, not just few players in the nba (Rip, Reggie). Heck alot of fast breaks ended in a 12ft jumper (you'd never see that now).
