I say cut him. He is playing for a contract, so he will want to pad his stats and I'm sure he is going to end up stunting the growth of our young guys. I really don't know what Silas/Stone/Fertitta have in mind here.

:eek:There is part of me that cannot help but wonder…..if we have rotation minutes for Schroeder how come we do not have rotation minutes for Wall?

I do not know why he is on the team I thought we would buy him out. If he play well we have a chance to win games and destroy our chance to get a top draft pick. We need to lose….he needs to leave, Porter is playing great.

If he plays well, there's a chance we bring him back next season. We don't own our pick next year so there's no reason to tank.

    KPJ/Schroeder
    Green/Christopher

is not a bad 4 guard lineup.

Not gonna hate on this yet. Could see him being a good fit off the bench running DHOs and pick and roll with Sengun.

The Rockets already had too many guards before they failed to get rid of Gordon, this just makes an already bad situation just a little bit worse.

Ah yes, add a locker room cancer with a reputation of being a selfish player to a starting lineup with Wood who is also a selfish player and 2 other players in KPJ and Sengun that SHOULD have the ball in their hands.

Sounds like a fun recipe for absolute disaster.

This does not sound like they are going to cut him

Or adding a true PG with a nice floater game to help develop and teach our future guards some new tricks… and no Sengun shouldn’t have ball in his hands yet… he’s proven it the last month or so.. he’s just not ready (flashes) yes …but needs more time

This team needs an injection to pair up or supplant Wood and Sengun. Getting Chet will help, but we are rail thin up front. Sengun is great offensively but polar opposite defensively.

I feel your question is more rhetorical, but if pressed, difference is Dennis is willing to come off the bench.

Who is the true PG? Dennis is a shooting PG, slasher first and pass second.

Wall is the better PG but yes, he is still on vacation.

As far as a shooting/slashing PG, same could be said about KPJ. Agreed that Wall was known more of a PG, it's apparent that Silas has no issue playing the shooting type of PG at the 1.

It's been said by other folks, we should just waive Schroder, or sit him if you don't want other teams to have him. 1.5 yrs of the 3 year rebuild plan is already gone. What is the Rockets thinking, why would they play Dennis if he's not part of the future.

The 1 and 2 guard positions should be split among KPJ/Green/Christopher/Nix. Who knows if all four of these are the core future, but you play them to find out, instead of left wondering. This is the year, that is OK to lose, next year, team is supposed to start wean off the organic tanking.

Silas knows about the 2023 summer, he's on the clock right now, can't wasting playing time on the wrong people.
