I know many are saying that these were just 5 SL games, but if you look closely, all of the 2012 players came from winning programs last season. Machado= 28-6 White= 23-11 Jones= 32-2(2012 champ) Lamb= 20-13(2011 champ) They are bringing this same winning mentality with them. Plus, they have all played great in big games.
Was Josh McRoberts a steal? He was considered a high lottery pick a year before being drafted 37th overall, and has a 4.6 ppg career average.
If you look more closely, only 1 player in the top 18 came from a losing program(St Johns 13-19), and 1 player from a team just over .500(Illinois 17-15). Almost all NBA players who went to college come from winning programs and have the same "winning mentality".
Well if that's the case we should've kept: Joey Dorsey from Memphis Jonny Flynn from tha Cuse Donte Green from tha Cuse Aaron Brooks from oregon Luther Head from Illinois the list can get to be quite long, but obviously there isn't much value in a player just because they are coming from a winning team. As is stated by many people, "Past performance isn't indicitive of future results"
I love how all of you are SO SURE that ALL of the rookies will turn out to play above their draft position. I can't wait for the season to start so reality can set in, but then as usual you guys will begin to talk about NEXT YEAR and what you KNOW will happen then....
Of course things will look bleak early in the season. Look for them to start taking off in the second half of the season once they have gelled.
What you forget is that Jeremy Lin is the greatest thing since sliced bread and will raise the level of everyones play to allstar status at the very least.
Me too. The kid is dedicated. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/iQL3wO8B_Y4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
