Tell me again who scores on a consistent basis for the Sixers not named Iverson? Is 1 30 point scorer better than 2 20 point scorers? ------------------ "That's been a lifelong dream of mine." -Vince Carter, after laying it in on a breakaway, much to the Vancouver crowd's displeasure.
Actually, Iverson did win rookie of the year honors.. ------------------ "See they pick and pick and pick. Man they picked me to death." -Steve Francis on the Utah Jazz
I wonder if this 76ers fan will be here if Philly gets knocked off on their homecourt. Funny how a troll like NXT runs over here bragging about Iverson being better then Francis and then saying basically "My 76ers are still playing, and your Rockets aren't", well your 76ers will be ending the season without a championship just like the young Rockets. If you want to gloat about your precious Allen Iverson, do it on the ESPN board where your mindless trash talking is appreciated. But if you call the "predicament" that Houston is in, being that they have a great young team, with one of the best backcourts in the league, winning 45 games in the West, and the money to sign quality free agents, including Chris Webber, then I'll take it. It beats having Iverson as a one man show, no money to sign free agents, and enjoying a dream season that will come crashing down when everybody in the East but Philly has the money and trade value to improve themselves. ------------------ See the three, be the three. better or not, Franchise is just beginning his education. In contrast, the Anzwerhas been around longer and despite copping a load of BS for his demeanour, he has won them over. Don't be surprised if Chise starts torching teams when he realizes he has the green light to do so. ------------------ "The man who goes alone can start today; but he who travels with another must wait till the other is ready." -HDT
Iverson is better than Francis, right now. Just like our "lazy-ass" Cato would school any high-schooler coming into the NBA. Iverson has had 3(?) more years than Francis to develop. He's been to the playoffs. He's had Ratliff and Mutombo cleaning up after him. He gets to take 30 or so shots a game. The fact that he's short is a weak argument. Jordan said himself that it's impossib;e to guard someone 6 inches shorter. He's shorter than ALL the shooting guards in the league. Amid all this stuff, I still beleive that if Francis was put in Philadelphia's SG spot, he'd average just as many points as Ivy, he'd make his teammates better, he'd rebound more than Ivy, and he'd be considered a much better defender. Francis may never score as much as Ivy, cause he'll always have scoring talent around him. He doesn't need to carry a team. But he'll always get more rebounds, more assists (as he should), defend better, and be a better leader. Don't talk about heart either. As Cuba Gooding Jr. put it in Jerry Mcguire, he's "ALL heart mother****er". As to whther Iverson's the best player in the NBA, he's not. Not even 2nd. Here's how I think it should be. (High-scoring guards only) Kobe Mcgrady Iverson Vince Marbury Francis But the up-side is that Francis has SO MUCH more improvement to do. He has at least 2 years less experience than ALL these guys. ------------------
Actually Sane, Iverson is a good defender, he usually guards the opposing team's pg while Snow guards the sg. Iverson was a two time Big East defensive player of the year at Georgetown. Francis isn't evern a good defender yet, sure he gets a lot of steals, but the opposing pg often torches francis. So defense isn't something Franchise is good at yet... ------------------ "See they pick and pick and pick. Man they picked me to death." -Steve Francis on the Utah Jazz

Stevie, Iverson was a great college defender because he always had 2-3 big guys standing behind him in a zone, in the NBA he is slightly below average at best. Francis is an average to slightly above average defender. ------------------ Never Underestimate the Heart of a Champion
No doubt, right now Iverson is better than Francis. But remember it took Iverson a long time to get to this point. But won't it be fun to see Philly lose in 5 games to the Lakers if they can beat Milwaukee.
VJ- Francis is a below average defender as well. Granted it does help that AI has Dikembe or Ratliff behind him but AI is a better defender than Stevie.
All those who agreed Ivy is better than Steve are applauded, all those who think otherwise, needs to start watching the NBA. -Bye the way, Iver is in the conference final now. Idon't see Francis anywhere in sight. ------------------
THIS IS FOR ROCKMILLENIUM*****MAYBE THE SIXERS DON'T NEED IMPROVEMENT IN SUCH WAYS AS THE OTHER EASTERN TEAMS, AND MAYBE AS "ONE" OF THOSE WESTERN TEAMS? ***SO BACKOFF! ------------------
This is for you NXT, get off a Rockets board bragging about the 76ers because you look like a moron. ------------------ See the three, be the three.
