I sincerely hope the Debate Commission refuses to give the questions out beforehand, and that they don't allow the candidates to cripple the town-hall meeting format by insisting on too many concessions.
I am geniunely concerned for Kerry for the debates. While I tend to agree with him on a lot of issues(much more than Bush), I can't stand to hear the guy for more than 30 seconds. He rambles on so many subjects for his campaign speeches it gets really annoying. Kerry just doesn't have any charisma to draw people in on camera. He just doesn't sound like he connects with the people, and will have to deal with the perception of being a flip-flopper. Bush, on the other hand, looks great on TV even when he misprounces every other word. He has that average-joe look which Americans really like, even if it makes no sense for people to prefer their leaders to be like them rather than much smarter & knowledgable than them. I have a feeling this could be a repeat of the 2000 debates.
