He's a waste of time. He spends his entire day in the WR because he as absolutely nothing else to do. You won't convince him to be a regular person because he just cares about being woke and pushing every liberal agenda he can. His own parents hate him (his words). I'd be ashamed if my kids hated me.
Unions that concentrate on protecting wagws and working conditions aren't. Unions that protect gang like activity that causes murder and death, no. If police unions just unionized for pay increase, I wouldn't care and welcome their fight for fair pay.
The silver lining in all this is that we finally have a solution for holding the cops accountable. Hire only African Americans for the job.
Lol. @fchowd0311 spends his entire day talking politics on the internet. What a pathetic and lonely person
Chavin was arrested quickly because there was bystander video that was available and immediately put on social media so they had no choice and couldn’t do their usual BS and lies let’s not forget the nonsense they initially put on the police report for George Floyd if it was just body cam footage and some business’s camera that had captured footage of Floyd’s death like with Tyre, Chauvin is getting the usual paid leave and sham “investigation”
Article on release of bodycam footage https://abcnews.go.com/US/bodycam-footage-released-quickly/story?id=77373570 Laws governing the release of body camera data are likely aligned with states' preexisting public records laws, Nancy La Vigne, executive director of the Council on Criminal Justice's Task Force on Policing, told ABC News. "Some are really big sunshine states, others less so," she said. Generally, the statutes govern law enforcement's ability to withhold data and information, La Vigne said, considering factors such as whether an investigation is in progress, if consent is needed from innocent parties or victims captured on the footage or if the video needs to be redacted to protect those featured.[/]
libertarians and conservatives love their freedom but love defending the people that clearly take that freedom away on a daily basis. Talk about hypocritical.
I will always stand by this statement. American Libertarianism has nothing to do with freedom but rather maintaining the economic and social hierarchy that currently exists like how the median white household has 1000% of the wealth of a median black household. American libertarians want these social and wealth disparities to be maintained. That is the core essence of American libertarianism. Keep the existing social and economic inequalities because they disproportionately benefit them. It's why it's the ideology of choice for the upper middle class white family in places like New Hampshire where people can live often idilic lives with a home and acres of land with a nice berm for a backyard shooting range. All the things that you can want from a upper middle class lifestyle and if you are selfish enough you can close yourself off to the rest of society besides other like minded well off families in your neighborhood and pretend anyone crying about wealth inequality in other parts of the country are whiney losers who don't "try hard". So ya libertarianism in America is essentially "I got mine, **** off". Not really a way to build a long sustaining society. If you approach American libertarianism from this mindset then their contradictory views on law enforcement make sense. Of course they are going to support harsher "law and order" in urban poor neighborhoods because those people are in the level of hierarchy that "deserve" increased law enforcement presence but at the same time are deathly afraid of the federals taking their guns and stealing their land or whatever trivial paranoia they have.
I feel bad because this is a big story that everyone should be paying attention to, but the warnings of the graphic nature of the video and my fatigue with how things went with the bazillion previous police brutality cases and the current reactionary clawback has made me feel inordinately reluctant to watch, read, or talk about it. And maybe its privilege that I can actually choose to not engage. But just popping in to say I should engage, but have not done so. Not sure if and when I will. Whole thing is so damn depressing.
