During an online chat, Ric Bucher reports he expects the Magic to trade Dwight Howard during the offseason.

Sources tell Bucher that Howard has a strong preference to move to the Lakers or Nets.

IMO- The teaming of superstars is not helping this league out at all.

No one wants to watch the Heat Lakers in the finals every year.

Why dont these players grow a set of balls like the Ewings, Dreams, dexlers, Barkelys, Jordans, and not to mention the old school guys of the glory days of our past.

These guys would rather not win a championship than to go team with some other superstar!

Either you are good enough to do it on your own, or you suck and you need to join forces...Sad

It will really suck if he goes to the Lakers...it'll be alright if he goes to the Nets...they have sucked for a while now...

We'll see what the NBA does after it's lockout, this may not even be possible. I'm hoping a franchise tag is a comin.

Would a Dwight to LA move make Bynum expendable? If so, Morey needs to pry that beast from the iron grip of Kupchak... there's no way they roll with a frontline of Gasol, Howard, Odom, & Bynum, right? Not to mention, LA's rumored to be lead dog for CP3's services next summer so it wouldn't make sense to tie down that much dough in 4 bigs.

That's not entirely true. These guys teamed up for us to try to do exactly that. The main difference is that they tried it on their own and were past their primes, much like the Celtics did recently.

Funny how people criticize players for wanting to leave so they will have a better chance at winning a Championship.

Dwight Howard going to the Nets would hardly be the death of the league.

Haven't we had our fair share of injury prone bigs?

wished he felt strongly about houston. we would be an instant contender with him in the middle, not so much with cp3 or someone else

Half the teams in the league would be instant contenders with Dwight down low.

Houston fans have for years disparaged his abilities as a basketball player in an effort to pump up Yao Ming's stature.

Why would he want to come here?

Because he was overrated offensively for those years. I think it's funny that 3 day with Hakeem improved his offense 10 times better than 4 years with Ewing.

I agree that it would be fine if he went to the Nets, but total BS if he went to LA without Kobe or Gasol being included in the trade.

AWWW F this shet, they should just keep like 8 teams in the league and stack all the stars, so we go straight into the playoff semifinals each year, no regular season.

On a message board. I seriously doubt Dwight knows about the Yao/Dwight debates here on Clutchfans.

Wasn't Yao's fault he owned Howard in head-to-head play.

That's funny cause Drexler had to team with Dream after we had already won a championship and probably would have won it again even without Drexler

I don't think whether a fan base likes you while you are on another team really enters into any players free agency decision. I'm pretty sure Yankee fans said plenty of disparaging things about Roger Clemens and Johnny Damon when they played for the Red Sox.

Anyway, Howard is on every team's dream list. I doubt the very slight possibility of Howard joining the Rockets will make the team do anything differently (like withholding from getting a good free agent C so they have the "cap space" to sign Howard).

How I want the NBA to end:

Mark Cuban and Mark Zuckerberg team up during the lockout to create a new league, called the NSA. No Sterns Allowed.

One by one the franchises individually apply for membership just so their teams don't completely depreciate in value to nothing. Being prudent businessmen, Cuban and Zuckerberg obviously refuse certain teams like the T-Wolves, Clippers, Bobcats, and Nets, effectively contracting the league in a fiscally sensible manner. Also they force the Utah Jazz to change their franchise name, mercifully putting an end to the biggest oxymoron in the history of language.

David Stern in his financial angst and indomitable penis envy sends his top assassins Joey Crawford and Bennett Salvatore to off his competitors. They get Cuban in a Dallas whorehouse by mixing rat poison into his coke stash. Zuckerberg however survives the attack--Joey Crawford with a wig and dress fails to fool him. He alerts the cops and they put Stern away for life in Hard Knocks penitentiary, where his cellmate is none other than Jayson Williams.

In a fair league and under fair rules with no max contract and a hard salary cap, Daryl Morey guides the Rockets to four championships in eight years (take that, San Antonio). Everyone lives on happily, even David Stern, who cherishes every remaining day of his time on Earth with full knowledge of how much worse it will get when he is called to task in the purging flames of divine retribution for all his worldly misdeeds.

Ratings are up, ticket sales are up, so Im pretty sure Stern is not going to be worried about superstars teaming up.
