My guess would be Yao. I think JVG is serious about getting the ball into Yao. He will get much more touches and w/ the more fluid offense that I feel that JVG brings, he will get easier baskets. If Bostjan plays than he will be the most improved but who knows if thats going to happen.

So... how about let's discuss the question? Forget the messenger? I actually think it's not a bad question to ask. The problem is, I don't know what type of educated answer we can give until Van Gundy lets us in on what type of offense he's going to use and how he's going to want to distribute the ball. Oh, and of course, assuming everybody on that list will still be here when the season opens, of course.

I've been watching this place (mostly lurking) for a long time, and I have to say...

Some of you need to lay off the newbies.

I read this and the previous poll. Mustang just needs to refine his posting. He doesn't need to be lynched. Pointing out some advice is one thing; getting on a high horse to spit on him is another. And some of you - though I won't name names - pulled the same kind of 'no-no's' when you first got on the board. Just because you have been around a while doesn't give you a free pass to forget your own mistakes.

Save your hate for the trolls. Several have popped up recently. And I've Mustang here (so far) doesn't seem like one of them.

Just a guy that needed to be given some information. Just like some of you needed at one time.

AND: I pick Yao. JVG seems eager to use him. Very eager. We'll get to see exactly how much progress he's made this year, and very early on.

Oh spare me, please. First of all, I know you are talking about me. So, it was very lame for you to bold "though I won't name names" part there, Rokkit. You think by doing that you won't hurt my feelings, dude? It is a message board, for crying out loud!

Second of all, I responded to Mustang as nicely as I could. Maybe the post wasn't as soothing as it could be, but there was no malicious intent on my part. However, when you have others speak out of the blue like the rockets - #1 character (who can't even put together a coherent response), then that is when I really get testy. I admit that I made many mistakes when I first started here, but guess what, Rokkit? People either didn't do much or I got jumped on hard when I first started here. I wished that there had been people like codell or moe or others who would have said politely, "You know, Manny, it is not good BBS etiquette to be starting so many threads" instead of assholes saying "You are a stupid ****,"...get what I am talking about?

I am going to continue to read this site and post when I feel I have something to say that is relevant to the thread at hand. And you can better believe that if I see something that is garbage, I will point it out. Everyone here should be wanting to keep this site the best on the Net. If you take that as jumping on newbies, then there is nothing I can do about that. But, I thank you for taking time out of your "busy" lurking schedule to make your point.

I believe I forgot what this thread was about..Oh yea..the poll..I voted Yao Ming as well as a few others. He should definatley see some more touches next year. Hopefully he will hit the weights this summer, and surely he wont be as tired as he was coming into last year. Go Yao.

I think Yao will. Adjusting to the nba is hard enough as it is, let alone having to adjust to a new country. I think a year of living in America and becoming familiar with the city, nba, etc will make him a lot more comfortable next year and translate in his on the court play. Also he seem to be a hard worker from all reports so he will hopefully work on things he needs improvment on this summer.
