You're kind of illustrating my point though. Yes Budinger's a good shooter, but isn't his athleticism just as defining a characteristic as his shooting? According to NBAdraft.net it is. They actually gave his athleticism a 10, and his jumpshot a 9.

If there was some sort of "True Athleticism Percentage", and you looked up the career leaders in that statistic, I'm sure the demographics of that group would be a little different than the group of players you've listed.

What's made him standout in summer league and that first preseason game has been his lights out shooting. He's shown some other nice all-around offensive skills, and he has decent size which helps. But its the shooting that has separated him.

Bob, I am one of the few posters that was happy you posted this thread. You stuck your neck out to make a point and also to find other comparison. You weren't rude about it, but some people didn't like it. :)

Poor man's Glen Rice or a Mike Miller would be great and, yes, I know Mike Miller's white.

ROFL, I knew you were one of those, thanks for taking the bait.

It's not at all surprising that you think this "as a biology student" considering that (in relation to humans at least), biologists are intellectually dishonest to a staggering degree, molding their results to the sociopolitical agenda they want to promote rather than engaging in truthful science. I find it amusing that you don't even understand the difference between ethnicity and race after your indoctrination.

Perhaps you could explain to us all how a term that "describes biological descent" has "little biological basis." You're trying to present crackpot critical race theory as fact. You remind me of those moron psychologists who say it's impossible to define or measure intelligence.

I don't like the thread topic as color doesn't mean anything...

A taller Rex Chapman or Craig Elho would be a good comparison.
To go with some more former Rockets: Walt Williams, Purvis Short, Robert Reid, & Eddie

    Pat Garrity
    Fred Hoiberg
    Eric Piatkowski
    Detlef Shrempf
    ...

I'll go with Lamond Murray, if he uses his athleticism more.

Uh oh, someone is in serious bizniz mode. God forbid anyone mention that race has anything to do with anything that you are. Little biological basis? I know for a fact black people are more athletic than the rest of the races. Its pretty hard to ignore that they account for less than 20% of all Americans yet more than 90% of professional football/basketball players are black.

He plays like a white guy, Not a bad thing. He has hops, but he still dunks like a white guy too.

Actually, he dunks like a volleyball player. Just kind of strange looking dunks really...

I said Brandon Rush before the draft, and I'm sticking with that comparison. Good not great athletes. Both can shoot with range. Both understand the game.
