rocketfan83, circa 1950: I some what agree with ya. I think someday a colored athlete will be able to play on a team with white guys. I think a lot of people are pretty tolerable of coloreds, like Dorothy Dandrige, for instance. Pretty normal chick. I'd have no problem with her or guys that color if I met them. In my opinion a guy like this might someday be able to play on a team with white guys. The guy that makes everybody say "Wow your colored?" I think society accepts guys like that more than the guys who are really dark. Guys as soon as you see them you know they're colored. I'd be uncomfortable playing on the same team or even hanging out with them in a bar for the fear of getting my butt kicked. These guys will never be accepted by society that’s just the way it is. Alot of people accept coloreds but the guys who are really dark will forever be outcasts. I'm a normal dude not a racist by any means. I'm not going to go beat up anybody for the color of their skin but I'm not going to associate myself with these guys in any means. And I honestly think that’s how a lot of people think and than there’s a lot of people who share your beliefs. Most of us live in Texas. For people to think we're the minority here is absolutely ridiculous.
