She was at that turkey farm to do one of those dopey pardon the Thanksgiving turkey bits that politicians do. MSNBC showed the whole "ceremony" before they went to the interview. Man, was that painful.

This was a planned media event where she pardoned a turkey then did an interview with a turkey massacre going on in the background. Words cannot describe this level of FAIL. Doing an interview in front of a slaughter house shows that she is not concerned about appearances and taking extra effort to make certain she is always shown in a positive light is not of value. It's honest. The GOP spent that money on Palin because they didn't like her own wardrobe which probably consisted of a few pairs of work boots. There is no one who would say that Obama didn't work hard during his campaign but I would say that more effort was spent creating an image than was spent letting the people get to know the "real" Barry Soetoro.
By the way, did one of the reporters really ask if some Alaska programs were on the "chopping block?"
