I don't hate any of them. I'm a SHSU grad who grew up watching UT, A&M, and UH. Since I moved to Austin, I lean more UT (Yeah, I'm a fan of a school I didn't go to and I couldn't care less what you think about it). I don't hate my SHSU rivals...but I really don't like SFA. I will never let my children be lumberjacks.

Why does Tech have the worst fans ever? Because they talk ****, are loud and obnoxious? That sounds like a pretty good fan base to me.

 

Lol. You have to laugh at them. 10-15 years ago, UT hated OU, A&M hated UT, and Tech pretty much played spoiler a lot. Hardly anyone talked about the "hated Tech fans." Amazing what a decade of beating your team will do.

 

And now that decade is over and things will be going back to normal. UT still hates OU. A&M still hates UT. Hardly anyone talks about Tech.

 

It's been a year, and Tuberville has coached successful teams before. That's like discounting Sherman after his 1st year at A&M.

And judging by this thread, that's not really true, is it champ?

 

Texas Tech has more been a lot more successful than Texas A&M in recent memory. I don't think it's suddenly going to revert back to how it was in the 90s -- but I guess you never know.

I still don't understand the hate for Tech fans though. They are everything you'd want your home fans to be -- loud and obnoxious. Personally, I dislike A&M fans the most. My cousin, an A&M grad, is about to be 30 years old and still says "t.u." and "tech tards" -- I didn't realize we were still in high school? To me, that is infinitely more annoying than having a loud fan base heckling other schools. I just don't see how a grown man can say "t.u." with a straight face -- but to each their own...

 

UT for now, but TCU is probably catching up to them, I liked TCU when the only thing I knew about them was LTomlinson went there, now they're just Boise State version 1.9 -_-. But UT still takes the cake since Applewhite has been gone

 

This poll question is confusing. Is it being addressed in second or third person - namely, is it the school that the respondent doesn't like the most? The school that the respondent thinks is the most disliked amongst BBS denizens?

I like all the Texas teams outside of them and I'm one of the few hoping the Big 12 disbands.

Tech- Pac 10
Baylor- MWC
TCU- Big East
UH,Rice,SMU,UTEP- Conf. USA (UH might go to Big East)
North Texas- Sun Belt
coming in 2012; UTSA, SW Texas State- WAC

FCS:
TSU, Prarie View aTm- SWAC
SHSU, Lamar, SFA- Southland
UT-Arlington wants to field a football team in Southland by 2013.
Tarleton St, U of Incarnate Word and West Texas A&M want to move up to FCS most likely in Southland. Which would hit Lone Star conference pretty bad so I'm not sure if all 3 will go unless they got some div. III schools waiting to move up to Lone Star which I'm not wasting time to research right now.
That would make 12 FBS teams in 8 different conferences. Leaving 5 FCS but if UTA and the 3 div. II schools I just named move on up that would make 7 teams in Southland conference if they all move up and 2 in the SWAC.

I don't care how many ppl here think this is a pipe dream b/c it is. But it's actually a realistic pipe dream that has a chance of happening and it would bring Texas fans in general more together. I'd love to watch UT play Michigan while aTm is playing LSU while Tech is playing USC all on the same Saturday! Not to mention the other 9 FBS schools playing in 5 different conferences and 7 to 9 FCS schools playing in SWAC and southland. Texas would undoubtedly be the big dog state when it comes to college football!

I also kind of hate Texas A&M-Texarkana. Is it Texas or Arkansas or Louisiana? Pick one you indecisive bastards.

Oh, and don't get me started on Texas Woman's University. What a load of reprobates.

 

What I don't get about aTm-Texarkana is why they don't have any sports at all, none. Do people in Texarkana not like sports? They have Texarkana College in JuCo, no football, but they are a big enough area to support at least div. III and maybe even a football program. I understand when UT-Galveston or aTm-Galveston full of future PhD's not playing sports but Galveston College still has Junior College sports, no football. aTm- Texarkana has no excuse though.
Just like Lone Star College with a huge football stadium, Berry, off Barker Cypress and West along with a great volleyball/basketball center in the same place. There is no reason Lone Star College shouldn't have a JuCo sports program. Trinity Valley Community College has a sports program with football. Alvin, Laredo and Northeast Texas (Dallas area) Community Colleges all have sports programs but without football. None of these schools have what Lone Star has with Berry Stadium, HBU doesn't have anything close to Berry. No excuse Lone Star, get a JuCo sports program going! I went to the Tomball campus for one year back in '01 before it was even called Lone Star, in which the hours I accumulated there I used to help graduate from Sam so I can claim alum!

Dont like Aggy fans and dont really respect them either. When you go out of your way to talk trash to Tech and Baylor (LOL), it just proves youre not one of the big boys. Check out any Aggy board and you will see comedy (unintentional) and a big case of c*ck envy.
