Achieve a Sticky, a posted Hot Topic, and be quoted by another member in their sig, all in one year. Has this ever happened? Should this be the Triple Crown?
This is a neat concept. The sticky without a doubt is the toughest. A hot topic is nothing more than a boob thread away and being quoted by another member is nothing.
The Clutchfans Triple Crown would have to be... 1.) Being a female and not being asked to post your pic. 2.) Not getting a single thread/post edited or removed by DoD 3.) Posting something in the D&D Forum without getting the dreaded : "CASE CLOSED" by Trader_Jorge; the "image + caption" by King Cheetah; or the "50 Paragraph Article From ADHD Hell" by rimrocker.
Haven't you heard? The general consensus from the female population of this BBS is that spaghetti strap tops suck! And moe, I've got two down.... but like Smarty Jones, I fell through on the third.
I've been quoted in someone's signature, but I've never had the other two (from the original Triple Crown proposal). As for Moe's, I think I'm good on 2 & 3, but #1 is going to be difficult to achieve.
Behad had quoted me once on something I said about rimbaud and Achebe. I also know that I have had a hot topic. Also, I know that I have had a thread become a sticky...one of the many OOTP lineup threads I have done in the fantasy forum!!
Agreed, Nomar even had a Fantasy Forum sticky. That will tell you how weak it is . As Fantasy forum mod I would like to declare that it shouldn't count towards the triple crown. It would be like leading the Majors in homers and RBI's and leading AAA in average.
Thats extremely difficult: The sticky would probably most likely happen in the GARM, you would have to post major news before anyone else does and also expect some people to ignore the thread and create a new one over the same topic, thus creating the need for a sticky at the top. The hot topic wouldn't be hard, just find some pics of good looking women and let the pervs drool over it (easy 50+ reply) The quote thing wouldn't be hard either, just get a friend to quote something of yours

I've been quoted. I think I have had one sticky. Pretty damn sure never had a hot topic. Anyways, it would be hard as heck to that all in one year.
