Just like every other team in the NBA... It's 1 out of 82, doesn't really mean a whole lot unless you let it effect you. As long as we bounce back we forget all about this game.
I'm a "LOF" here and the only question I had all game was "what the hell are you doing at practice, Jeremy?" Man's game has been pathetic lately. Playing scared and can't finish like we saw him do at the beginning of the season.
We definitely let them slide with the stupidest turnovers known to man. That TJones turnover under the rim was the worst. Harden's effort in the 2nd half was a disappointment
I thought DMo was fine. Not his best performance but he competed. T Jones on the other hand should be sent into hibernation for a game or two when he plays scared like that. He never should have been on the court in the second half.
This. I was happy with Lin's play earlier in the year. Now, I cringe every time he touches the ball. Has nothing to do with his shooting. He just plays scared.
The Clippers are the Rockets worst matchup. Harden has to run after somebody half his size and Blake Griffin is right at the position we can't defend or rebound. I'll take OKC in the playoffs before the Clippers if given the choice. CP3 also outclassed our PGs yesterday.
I respect Blake Griffin's game, but I "hate" that guy. Much better passer, post player, and ball handler than when he entered the league and he was a stud entering the league.
The Clips are thug-nasty, do a lot of the little extra stuff to get under your skin. Chris Paul will draw a foul by cheap-shotting the defender's face. This is better than scrotum-kicking a helpless opponent-- he's come such a long way. But they do get a bit provocative. How rare is it to see Harden lose his composure? TJ and DMo don't belong on the court with Deandre and Blake out there. I don't think either TJ or DMo stopped Blake once! We need to trot the Twin Towers out vs. the Clips, so we can get stops and RUN.
Recently, whenever the Rox play the Clippers, it feels like they are taking on a faster, stronger, bigger, jump higher, Varsity team.
First the rox havnet been around for 51 years. Second, i lurk over at realgm...alot. whatevers man, i aint one to dog anyone for watching the rox. Its cool with me. Just saying.
He looks like he's thinking too much out there. He has good games but then reverts to bad habits and goes into bad slumps like right now. He needs to attack and shoot it when he's open. I had to laugh at Harden's halftime interview when he swore they were weren't winded despite the B2B. They looked tired and lethargic from the opening tip. I think it's almost miraculous the Rockets were able to scrape out a lead at the half. Sucks to lose but they gave a solid effort.
The Clippers and the Thunder are the two teams that the Rockets should avoid early in the play-offs. At this point, both are the only ones that can beat them in a best-of-7, imo.
I was screaming at my tv for Bev to pop that dirty flopper CP3 in the mouth for throwing that elbow and flopping all over the place.
Lin has +/- of +2 btw. You have been watching for half a century and you can't see that this is a team loss, and not on one player or coach. I don't even like Mchale but what you said is ridiculous.
not worried about the loss.. We had a chance to blow the game open when we were up 8 then Tjones went full potato twice and the clippers came back with 12 straight.
Clippers supporting cast >>>>>> Rockets supporting cast, and sadly I don't think taht bodes well if we see them in playoffs. not to mention the coaching mismatch
I actually think this is a rather decent comparison : great PG, great PF, dirty dirty flopping cheap shotting crap all game long... And just like the Rockets teams that battled the Jazz, we have a great Center and SG, but don't have a PG or PF that can match up with the Clippers. I still think we can beat them in a 7 game series, but it would be the biggest challenge for the Rockets besides OKC.
