I consider myself a right wing moderate. I don't buy what I'm told by the media. I try not to attack people who have different ideas. I honestly try to find a common ground to establish where healthy conversation can begin. But it's difficult if the other person in the conversation is attacking you. Does that make me a right wing nut in your book? Just looking to establish common ground.

Haha. I remember seeing the Facebook posts and thinking it had to obviously be photoshopped. I stand corrected I guess.,

Still the ignorance to understand that it was assets frozen from sanctions is still baffling. Those old folks like Trump really believed that Obama was pulling money out of the treasury paid for by our tax dollars and dropping it like babies from Storks or mana from the heavens.

Someone from Obama’s inner circle should have been like yeah... not the best image to create if you don’t want to start a whirlwind of right wing propaganda. If Obama had one weakness it was surely his underestimating of how the right weaponizes propaganda and disinformation.

Where did the $1.3 billion in interest come from? Was the original $400m literally sitting in an account drawing the negotiated interest? The U.S. had to pony up the interest from somewhere. Why not just give them their $400million and say we invested it and it didn't go so well?

Let’s say all that is true. Let’s say Trump is telling the truth and Obama just wrote a check for 150 billion out of your and my pocket.

What’s the military’s budget this year??... 700 billion?

What’s the price of diplomacy to not need war to begin with?

You guys are fixated on Obama giving money to the Iranians and losing site of the Freaking purpose. Trump and FoxNews sold to you guys for years that the problem was the money without really having any substantive debate about what the money actually bought. F this discussion about dollars and cents. We are giving the military ENDLESS blank checks for trillions. If 150 billion of the trillion SAVES a war from happening its the best GDamn investment in that 2 trillion dollars.

Of course that’s not the case and everyone knows the argument about the cash is just a distraction to take away from a major major Obama accomplishment to use diplomacy to avoid bloodshed. I stand proud of what Obama did with Iran, and remain embarrassed by what Trump did out of spite.

What an idiotic reason to vote for a world leader. Figures. It's something that Os, who pretends to be a moderate would do.

I get the math. I'm just saying the interest payment had to come from somewhere unless the money really was sitting in an account drawing interest. Another alternative could be to send them the same military equipment they bought circa '79. I'm being provocative just to make a point that the interest most likely did come from U.S. tax payers. So there's some truth to the accusation if that's true. Just sayin'.

Just pondering here: The Ukraine plane that 'crashed' has a suspicious story. Ukraine has the black box and has said they won't release it. The U.S. and/or Boeing has asked (maybe demanded?) the black box. Is it possible that the U.S. is helping Iran cover up what happened to the plane as part of the supposed de-escalation we are seeing?

    Wrong.

If you actually looked into it you would find that the interest paid was tax payer money.

    Sure...

The one thing that we shouldn't want is for the East to come together.. Meaning Iraq, Iran and Saudi..

When I was over there in Desert Storm the one thing we feared the most was a 'Jihad'.. Basically meaning our so called friends would now be our enemy.

What Trump did by killing the general was bring Iran together, now he has pissed Iraq off by not leaving when they asked... Stating pay for this and we will leave. So basically the common denominator to bring them together is the US... The enemy of my enemy is my friend...

These people put religion before everything...
