Landry for 3 mil a year was the biggest steal in free agency. Come on Carl, dont let me down.

It looks like working with Chuck Hayes and Shane Battier is starting to pay off for Carl and Scola. They both can play defense. Carl's D on Bosh today was awsome. I hope we sign Bosh in 2010, that guy is a stud.

Besides, when I first saw Josh powell, I thought he is Carl's twin brother

he kind of reminds me of mcdyess...mcdyess has that mid range shooter, good defenders, rebound, athletic (mcdyess in his younger days)

He is not a good defender, although he did well tonight. He was one of the most efficient rebounders in the whole league last season, now he is just an above average one, much worse than Scola in that department.

Landry is exciting to watch and very likable, but he has a long way to go. At 6'7 with short arms, I don't think his potential is that high, definitely not an All Star.

Did you watch the game tonight? I would rather have Chris Bosh than Landry or Scola. Chris Bosh is probably the best scoring power forward in the game today.

He should also probably improve his dribbling skills if he is trying to play PG

like morey said, landry needs to develop some go to move to be an all-star.
he's a better finisher, a better rebounder than west, but other than that, he is just a catch-shooter while west is a much better 1 on 1 player, maybe as good as Duncan.

Bosh is paid max. Landry and Scola are 6 mils combined.

Go Raptors board, so many fans are pissed at him. I think he recently lost his untouchable status with the Raptors. That tells you something.

Chuck is smaller and has no hops and yet is a great defender.

i don't know which game i was watching, but i always see a POWER forward playing like a 2 guard when the raps are on. that's not very stud-like, is it? top 10 player? i think not.

Trying to burn me because I think Bosh is better than Scola and Landry. Now I am a Rockets homer, but come on.

west is overrated. he gets the exposure largely due to cp3. the hornets are a 2-men team.

i'd take aldridge in portland, all day.

I am glad that this thread was made (5 stars all the way), I don't think the Carl Landry point can be made enough. Carl Landry is a BEAST! I am stunned at how far he has come in such a short time, his mid-range game, and especially his defense. He is high energy, high impact, and he has a passion coming off the bench that I don't see anywhere else in the league--and this is every time out. I think Carl will be the true X-factor for the Rockets the rest of the way.

With all the hate on this board for things like TMAC and our PG play, it is great to see a thread that finally recognizes a talent like Carl Landry on this team. I am more and more excited about the way this team is built for a playoff run--Scola, Artest, and Brooks in the starting lineup is AWESOME, and having a bench of Landry, Lowry, and Von Wafer while being able to go to Barry, Deke, and maybe James White in small doses just seems so much better than what the Rockets have had in many years.

Because hes built like a truck. Landry is leaner and more explosive. Chuck may be shorter, but he is not "smaller" as you put it. He is easily the strongest guy on the team.

What gets me excited about the second unit is the chemistry between them(Lowry,Wafer,Landry). < The Real Big Three.

They run the high post offense to perfection when yao is out of the game. Theres just more spacing, more movement, and more cutting. More shots going to the basket.
