That chat was pure madness last night. When the flood attack came, it locked everyone's machine up. I believe there were 160 in the chat at the time, and the 5th pick or 6th pick was being made. I thought... "It's over". Chat was ruined... we'll get control back, but it may be too late and many fans aren't going to come back. I changed room names and 10 minutes later we were back up. 60-something in that room in no time. DrOfDunk (who was amazing -- thanks a million for everything last night) got control back of the original room and some 60-70 came there, so we got the two rooms back together. Shot up to 240 in no time... I seriously couldn't believe it. Also, around the 11th, 16th and 21st picks, we shut down new entries to the room (so an attack couldn't come as the Rockets were picking) -- meaning there would have been a lot more during peak time. Then we would restore new entries shortly after the pick was made. Between that, BBS crashes, updating the page, writing the draft recap... I slept two hours last night. Was absolutely insane. ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET
I just noticed this post. Truly prophetic. ------------------ The season's over, but the 'Stros have started. Guess I'm still gonna be nursing that keg...
