I agree, Stat is good but that's a lot of talent to give up. The Rox are close to a Finals appearance with this roster, I think we need to tweak this team rather than do the complete makeover this trade would do.

Isn't Amare damn near blind right now? I know his career was almost over last time I read about him. We already got enough injury proned people and this guy won't even wear some Akeem goggles.

Amare will be a Knick ... he would love to play again for his former Suns headcoach!

Please NNNOOOOO to Amare...the man is cross-eyed with bad knees. Brooks has great potential, a proven 3pt threat and quick as lightning. Carl has great athleticism but adds depth. This will not be a good trade.

Lets not even mention Amare's heart and character for second. Lets take a look at the trade with any possibility. (even if they want Tmac)

If they are going to part ways with Amare, they still have a BB team to operate. Which means they would want some some nice prospects to develop who can one day take over as the next Amare.

What we have that Suns may want? Battier, Scola, Landry, and Brooks. Seeing how Kerr loves to play defense, battier would be big on their minds.

However, given the star power and value of Amare, there are alot of teams that can pay alot more than we can offer.

Unless you want to trade Yao for Amare + fillers. It ain't happening.

I do not think it is a good trade. First, there are many uncertain things concerning on him, that is not the cases that Morey want to bring to this team. Secondly, the money issue. Amare is the max player, if you give him a max contract, then your team will be in a big trouble if it does not work out since we know that Yao would get the max one even if he can not play 70 games per year.

That there are people who don't want to give up both of our power forwards does not surprise me. That there are people who don't even want him on the team let's me know I'm in the GARM with rookies.

There is no questioning amare's talent. He would fit in with any team because he is so versatile and talented. Those who think he and yao would clash, ala dream/barkley, have not been watching stoudemire play since his rookie year, when he was a raw dunkaholic. Since, he has developed into a well-rounded offensive weapon, complete with 18 foot automatic range and a double team commanding presence.

If you can get amare' you pull the trigger. Especially for an expiring contract, a replaceable pg, and one of the two serviceable pf's on the team. Its the beauty of the morey system...we have two pgs - either of which could start. We have to pfs - either of which could start. If you can deal two of those assets to acquire HOF talent, you do it
Now, we'd still need to address the wing penetrating need, but that can be done by s-n-t with artest or by moving battier, whose value will never be higher than it is right now.

Every time the Rockets have tried to place a trade for a Stoudemire, it has ended badly.

    Pass.

Who knows? He had the problems on his knee too, both knees I guess, but he should be able pass the physical test.

    NO THANKS

Why we should upgrade our PF, especially our scolandry are good enough and really had good chemistry in Rox. I dont think Amare is that good without Nash running the offense

This team's identity is one of hard work, grit and no egos. Bringing in Amare would at least damage that and possible destroy it. Is it worth bringing in the talent at the expense of chemistry?

There is no way I do this deal if it costs the Rockets both PF. It would have to be a very low risk deal and I'm sure Phoenix can do better.

I am not completely sold on the proposed AS trade yet. However, bringing in AS could effectively solve the problem in the C position. YM and AS could very likely split the time in C and won't weaken the defense much.

PERFECT!!!!!! One of the most selfish players in the NBA, demands the ball and complains about his coach and his team mates.
Injury prone and now has a damaged eye-- PERFECT? :p

I don't agree with this notion at all. The only reason our PG's "can't" throw lobs and alleys is cause there is no one on our team that can finish. The only person that we saw go get it was our PG against the Lakers in the playoffs AB.

I think Wafer may have once but besides him and Tracy who else is there that gets real game action? White is stuck to the bench but he would be great for that.
