When I heard he did this tonight, I had to check it out. Full dance: http://uproxx.com/tv/2014/10/alfonso-ribeiro-carlton-dancing-with-the-stars/
literally never gets old watching him do that, and nobody can do it like him. little-known fact: heard this in an interview years and years ago: the origin of that dance for him was from when courtney cox gets brought on stage in the video for bruce springsteen's "dancing in the dark". fwd to 3:20 <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/129kuDCQtHs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I once knew a guy who did that dance. We used to go down the the park and hang around. That's when my life got completely uprooted. We were playing on the basketball court, outside of the school, and one day, some troublemakers came around causing mayhem in my neighborhood. I got in one little fight, and my mom got scared. She said I should move in with my uncle and aunt. I begged her not to make me go, but she packed my suitcase and sent me away. She kissed me and gave me my ticket, I put my walkman on and said, "Fine." Blah blah, smell ya later.
Got Dayam! That chick looks like she's having a seizure. Carlton... Dem hips, footwork and head movement. So smooth. Hnngggggg!
Yeah I don't get it. I assumed the point of the show was you have a bad dancer trained by a good one. Why have a professional dancer on the show?
It's "Dancing With the Stars", and they're really reaching for "stars" these days. They'll take whoever they can get. If they already have a lot of dance training, who cares. The last winner was Meryl Davis who is an Olympic ice dancer. Shocker that she won.
No Filter . . she looks MUCH better in these practice pictures Overall . . . .I rate it Awesome Rocket Rivrer
So....where do they go from here? I mean, you have to figure him doing that dance at some point was 99% of the reason he was even on the show.
He did the Carlton dance in an episode of Fresh Prince. Not sure which one. But it was very stiff and unflattering. He should stick to gangster rap.
