With Dwight Howard going to LA, there are no more star/superstar players who have one year left on there contract, demanding a trade to their desired team. Most star players have at least 2-3 years left on their contracts, which means Morey is now able to trade for a star player he covets. The player could b**** and moan all he wants but he would have no choice but to come for the rockets. For example: I can totally see the Knicks imploding next season, deciding to trade Carmelo and Stoudemire and rebuild. In comes Morey and snatches Carmelo and he can't do anything about it. He has four years left on his contract!
All I care about is Toronto sucking bad enough to land in the top 5. We may have a shot at Memphis Salary dumping Rudy Gay for Kevin Martin and the Dallas pick.
This... im just pissed LA got Dwight and we didnt even get Bynum! for the life of me i don't understand why morey didnt just make this a three team deal... my heart tells me he didnt want to help LA and LA just found an alternate route in the end screwing us and leaving us out entirely... The deal just doesnt make sense for Orlando... Houston wouldnt budge wanting only dwight and in the end we didnt even get Bynum! Im so disgusted with the NBA right now... I know Martin, DMO, Terrence Jones, Toronto Pick, and Dallas Pick could have and should have netted us Bynum, Turkoglu, and Jason Richardson. SO BUMMED
Do you guys think this might actually benefit us? Orlando's in a bad spot, but they're not first overall pick material. Hornets got better, as did the Kings, and Raptors. We might actually be in the running for a top pick.
Im sure as hell glad we didnt end up a broken Dwight and Hedo. And Im sure as hell glad we still have assets. Im not hoping for playoffs or whooping other team's butts. I just hope we dont end up with any busts and I hope our prospects develop positively.
our rooks and are not "knuckleheads" they compliment each other well hustle, scoring, passing-wise they will get minutes to develop they are fun to watch, should be fast paced we expect nothing of them, so we won't be angry when they loose and will be excited when they win we haven't had a solid defensive center in a long time, im excited Asik is here and we're going to get national coverage with Lin on the team Royce *might* get us some ESPN highlights with his fancy passing if all fails we have even more good picks coming
RGV is going to have some ballers... Seriously though, I'm looking forward to watching the kids play even if we take some thumpings.
