I wish guys like Usyk and Wilder would embrace and help push for a super cruiserweight with a weight limit around 220 -- I think that could be a great division if promoted better than cruiserweight.
The WBC does have that weight class now it’s called Bridger weight. they firm have to create a weight class for that thought for these guys to just fight. quite frankly Usyk and wilder have both shown they can not only hang but thrive at traditional HW boxing. no reason to create another weight class just because you have one freak potentially all time great in Fury who’s 6’9 270lbs and moves like light heavyweight. Fury is maybe one of the top 3 HW to ever get in the square circle his talent with his size has never been seen quite like this in the sport. personally if he beats Usyk, which I think he does pretty easy and that’s no knock on Usyk. He’s top 3 in my book. but I understand that ppl will still want to see him defend the title and run his record to more than 35-0-1. While taking on some of the younger up and comers like klitchko did. don’t think he needs that though that skill and talent is there and outside of fighting Joshua he will have beaten, if he wins against Usyk, the best guys in the division over the last 15 years. and Usyk is seen as one of the 5 best P4P fighters in the world So that’s great on any resume plus he’d be unifying the 4 belt era of heavyweight.
My dad used to take me to local “Tough Man” events in 1990s, and the boxing was so sloppy and laughable, but it was better than some of the trash they’re putting on pay-per-views today.
Teofimo looks washed up. No way he should have got the decision. On the other hand Crawford still looks dominant hopefully they can get things straight so that Errol Spence fight can take place.
Masterclass in coaching by Calvin for Tank and a terrible excuse for coaching by Goosens for Garcia. Everything Calvin said to Tank between rounds was on point. Goosens was giving shitty advice to Garcia. Also, once Tank sat him down in the 2nd, it was as good as over because That should have been Garcia's round yet Tank took it from him. By the time they got to the usual Tank rounds, it was done. Tank was either going to put him down again or get the win from the judges. Easy money like you said.
i really hope all these guys keep the momentum going and make the fights people want to see the sport desperately needs it
