Jake Paul needs to box real boxers not wrestlers. I cant believe im saying that. This dude is colleting the bag holy hell.
Lol, it's surprising but then it's not I guess. He's been training as a boxer for years now. He'd beat a lot of wrestling guys in a pure stand up fight... I wonder if he continues this show or actually tries or just continues to fight people he knows he'll beat.
DId this dude take a dive? This MMA guy probably made more dough in his 2 seconds then he has in his whole MMA career. this is a grift. I mean its smart, but this has to be fake.
In fairness, Ben Askren is one of the worst strikers in modern UFC history....but still, damn. I mean, credit where it's due, Askren was a legitimate fighter. Next up for Jake Paul should be McGregor. That would be interesting.
Yeah. I mean I saw the hit in slowmotion, perfect connection. I believe he really fell but the ref called the fight ASAP. Jake is only 24 like dude could really get serious about it but I don't know if he want to. One thing to fight youtube stars and past their prime athletes...another to fight a dude off the street whose only option is to win or go find a 9 to 5.
Fair, but a lot of refs would have called that one before he had a chance to win. He did get back up, but the ref called a quick stoppage due to him "wobbling". I mean, it's not unheard of, and he did legit get rocked. I think it's possible that it was Ben taking a dive, but again, he's a terrible striker and he's overweight and clearly didn't take this seriously at all.
Yeah, that was definitely a good strike. Ben's never been known for his stand up and for a boxing fight IDK wtf kind of guard he had going there.
Are these actual professional ranked fights? Or was this a celebrity "sparing match" like the Tyson fight?
They count as official pro fights, technically Jake Paul is now 3-0 as a pro boxer....but every single person he's fought professionally is now 0-1, so he hasn't ever fought a real boxer before. Racking up knockouts against guys who were having their first and only professional boxing match isn't THAT impressive. We'll see who he goes against next.
And it very likely saw way more viewers than the UFC fight that was on tonight featuring a #1 contender and former champion at that too
Oh that doesn't surprise me, as you go down, and down, the ladder from Boxing to WWE to UFC to whatever this is the easier it is to sell to the general public. I stopped at the first rung.
