You guys watch the Stevenson fight and undercard? I thought very entertaining fights, in particular the 2nd and main event.
that was pretty awesome. good ol JR did a good job. even thew in some wrestling references like calling juarez, "the rock" and "do you smell what the rock is cooking" at the end he called it a slobber knocker! lol good fight from Rocky too. He was getting outboxed early on but he stuck with it,stayed on the inside and landed some big shots to the head and the kid took them well. for somebody who was suppose to be done and now a gatekeeper, Rocky has two upsets in his last couple fights. Now he me get another, one last title shot. Probably against Johnny Gonzales as that looks to be the most winnable fight he can take.

^^ GP makes the best promo vids HUGE boxing news in the recent days. Richard Schafer has left Golden Boy. The breakup supposedly started when Oscar made up and wanted to work with Bob Arum. Floyd Mayweather also "left" Golden Boy. This could be great for boxing. Lets see if Oscar and Bob keep their word and they do work together. While the "cold war" may be ending, another one could be starting. Depends on who is actuall with Golden Boy or Al Haymon or whatever.
I just wanna see more fights. If Martinez gets up over Cotto, I'd love to see him fight Golovkin. Dude has such rediculous power, if not that then Golovkin vs Canelo would be good and Alvarez wouldn't struggle to make weight. Kahn is in a weird situation with ramadan/Mayweather possibility.
Looking forward to tomorrow night. Hoping for a Martinez win. Would be a dream to see Martinez v Golovkin. Is that a real possibility?
If Martinez gets through unscathed then definitely. Dude has incredible punching power and heavy hands, and his popularity has grown immensely. A Martinez/GGG fight sells itself, but he's been very much avoided.
My heart thinks Cotto wins but my mind says Martinez will win. Plus, Sergio got the Pope in his corner:grin:
Cotto seems like a nice guy, but I could never pull for him due to his obsession with referring to himself in the 3rd person.
