Pretty much this. I do think that if they use the smaller gloves Mayweather would have had a tougher time, Maidana threw twice as many punches and wore himself out with the larger gloves. I think the decision was the right call, the fighter who finishes stronger generally wins... but it was hella-close.
Floyd came back strong..and got focused...close fight than the score indicated...But Mayweather won that fight
Floyd obviously won this fight. Maidana was punching air most of the fight and it showed in punch statistics.

Agree, the judges got it right, though I'm not sure about 117-111. Mayweather clearly won the fight, but for 6 rounds that was Maidana's fight. Easily the best showing I've seen someone put up against Mayweather since Castillo.
If ur saying for six rounds it was maidanas fight, you are implying mayweather won the other six.. Well that should be a draw then I guess mayweather won in name and reputation but I don't think it was a decisisive or clear victory at all.
