Just for fun I'm going to assume this was sorta directed at me. And just for fun I'm going to laugh because we are sooooo funny. But seriously, and I truly understand that you probably weren't directing your comment at me because my comment was strickly refering to how he should've know how to bow correctly, and he should've for pete sake. He is the President of the United States and he has people to help groom him, to make him a better president. Maybe being half Japanese and living over there has something to do with my opinion, but I bow with exactness, knowing just how low I'm going to bow by knowing who I'm greeting. Bowing has a great rich history. Don't make light of it just because you don't understand it. The fact is, in Japan, that was a sloppy bow coming from the President of the United States.
As a Judo instructor yes that was a somewhat sloppy bow but its about as much of a faux pas as having a weak handshake. This is not comparable at all though to the Merkel backrub given that that wasn't solicited or expected and was a violation of Merkel's personal space.
even though it would probably only get a slap on the wrist, an unsolicited back rub can get you a sexual harrassment complaint, not even in the same league. I'm surprised the article would even go there.
