I see him going to phoenix since d'antoni was his coach in europe when he won the championship. d'antoni thinks he's a stud.

I'd bet we are keeping Gaines. He has shown zero aptitude on the offensive side of the floor so I'm sure he's a keeper.

Maybe the Rockets golden agers are a new science experiment for the Medical Center - replacing arthritic joints, adding bionic ankles......:D

Good luck Boki. You have escaped the clutches of the evil Lord Sauron.

    Or is he Gollum?

Most likely PHX becasue D'Antoni is there and he is in love with Boki since coaching him in Italy.

It all depends on what your definition of "better" is.

    With Houston - .309 OBP, .412 SLG, .256 AVG
    With Mets - .296 OBP, .463 SLG, .228 AVG

The only thing he did significantly better with the Mets was hit HR's. But let's not forget his September stats of .155  OBP, .241  SLG and .114  AVG

wow, i knew he struggled after his initial hot streak with the mets but not that bad. my grandma could slug .241.

as for boki, while i always wondered why we didn't give him any chance at all, i never thought that much of him anyway. probably someone who could play for a team but who would be like a million other guys who could play for a team as a 8th man or something. no one that really makes a big difference.

we'll see if we regret trading him. i'm not holding my breath.

and gaines???? he has looked nothing short of horrendous every time i've seen him play (which admittedly isn't much but playing horrendously doesn't get you back on the court a lot). kt, posey, and eg all had talent and left for different reasons (and you can't count posey AND kt since we traded one for the other). gaines just plain sucks ass.

oh, and posey is back to his old ways of shooting like crap so i'm not too sad to lose him for the full mle.

All in 30 minutes. Not a bad debut.

I wish we could have packaged Gaines instead but man I really wanted him to do well for us! It was always fun to root for him

I guess he really did butt heads with JVG and you know with his Napolean disorder that he would ship him off with the first sign of fighting back.

i hope Boki succeeds. I hate the trade, now i'm really sure FIRE van gundy. If it is true that he traded Jackson just to get rid of boki. And he traded them both for some 35 year old player in his twilight of his career.

    Go BOKI
    Go Rockets

Nachbar lucky to be in the league this long.

I refuse to call a grown man "Boki". It sounds girly.

    Question Dak

Was JVG the only coach to not to play Boki?

I really thought after last years playoffs he would have been getting 20 minutes plus every night

I wish Boki the best. I doubt that he will become a stat monster, but I wish we had kept Boki and had let JVG go!

Nice conclusion after 1 game. Maybe New Orleans should pull-a-Cato and sign him to the big contract now before the rest of the NBA realizes how great he is!

He'll get his chance to contribute because the Hornets suck so bad that they don't have anyone better to play.

I wouldn't hold my breath on anyone's careers ending over losing Boki "Garbage Time" Nachbar.

Gaines? He hasn't show anything to prove that he's even NBA ready.
