Wow, Boki's average is up to 7.5 pts / 2.8 rebs right now! 6.5 pts was the bet, right? Go Boki, don't look back, prove Sam wrong and let him pay!
this thread is gonna be a very long one(maybe even longer then the fire van gundy thread, if people would just let that one die). I think Sam has got a problem. Boki will score more then 10 points next year.
I agree with many of Sam's political ideas but his basketball understanding is lacking to say the least.
It's very possible for Sam to lose his bet without Boki proving he's anything more than a scrub, given the low bar set for him. Although I've gotta say, Boki is shooting it surprisingly well.
214 points 29 games 7.37931 points per game DaDa has a commanding lead. 26 games left Boki is finding his shot and scoring well, but Lee Nailon is back...anything can happen.
Looks like the table is turning again. That idiot Lee Nailon came back from the injure and took bulk time from Boki. Boki played only 11 mins, shot a perfect 2 of 2 and only scored 5 pts. Hmm, it didn't look good. Nailon should go back to injure list.
He scored 11 pts last night. But as ivanyy said, he played only 11 minutes and scored 5 points tonight because of Nailon's comeback.
THis bet is ridiculous, I can't believe the line is set at such a perfect spot. I should open up a sports book.
didn't you discuss that he can have a maximum amount of DNP CD? Damn sam this is not the best bet you ever made
My question is, why in the world is Nailon taking away time from Boki? The Hornets might as well just follow the steps of previous horrendous teams. Basically screw the veterans and play young guys only. This way you get to see which young players are worth keeping and give yourself the best chance to win that lottery come offseason.
Simple really - Nailon is just a better player at this point in his career and is having a career year (he's putting up 15 a game this year as compared to 3 ppg last). Put yourself in Byron Scott's position, even though your team is horrible - you still have to try to win games, and you have to put your best players out there to do so. It's difficult - very difficult if not impossible, for a coach to just say - f-ck it, let's mail in the season. That sends a horrible message to your team and the players who are there, young and old, and is just not within the comprehension of the coach. Look at Byron Scott, even though I think he is a fairly lousy coach - the guy has been used to winning as a player with the Lakers and as a coach with the Nets. It's going to take a lot - a hell of a lot, to get him to not try his hardest to win every single game; and that means giving Nailon and PJ Brown minutes (although in Nailon's defense he just turned 30 last week, he's not that old.)
