Nachbar was #3 on NBATV's top 10 plays.

I watched the North Carolina - Maryland game yesterday afternoon and Vitale said that J.R. Smith made the wrong choice in declaring for the NBA over North Carolina because all he's doing is sitting on a bench. Well later on I saw the Hornets - Kings game and J.R. Smith was huge in that win, then I see guys like Josh Smith, Al Jefferson, and Sebastian Telfair play good minutes for their teams. They might not be playing all that well but they do have the occasional good game and they almost always contribute in some way. Why do guys like Vitale keep talking? In the end those guys get tons more practice time and some play the same amount of total minutes in an 82 game season as they would in a 30+ game season in college.

Oh! Nachbar played alright, but man... He knows how to pick up fouls! Another thing I noticed is that he's a lonley guy out there, I'm not to sure if he's made a friend yet.

Also in a post game interview Baron Davis said that he knows he's gone and that J.R. Smith is the future of that team. I've heard it said that Davis can make a Rasheed Wallace type difference to the right team, that's true, you get a top three PG it's going to be interesting to see where he goes.

I can't help to think that Boki will be to Houston what Dale Ellis and Detlif Schrempf was to Dallas.

That would be extrodinary for sure. I see more of a Craig Ehlo type of player, lots of hustle and timely scoring.

A complimentary role playler...2nd option at the very best...probably more likely a 3rd or 4th option, but a productive player.

Good comparison, Craig Ehlo. Great shooter, complimentary role player, 3rd or 4th option. Ehlo is the best comparison that I have heard yet. Except he has just a little more size and may not be quite as good defensively.

I watched a fair amount of that game. Man, Nachbar looks lost out there. He just stands behind the 3pt line and watches everybody play. True he is new to the team but his teammates never look at him unless there is a dribble/drive and kick out as the shot clock is going down.

My observations, as well. A deer in the headlights. Maybe it wasn't JVG? Maybe he has the talent -- from the head down? Maybe he needs a Vlade as a teammate?

Maybe he just needs to play with them a bit.

When a team is 4-29, there will be a lot of people trying to "Get theirs" more than worrying about a win.

When Nachbar was here I used to hate how a lot of people babied him and his pet name annoyed me sometimes, but now that he's gone I get pissed when they don't give him the ball. I still don't think he's anything special though...

Why couldn't T-Mac and Vince play as hard with their old loser teams as Baron Davis is with his loser team?

I had a dream that Boki pulled down 20 boards last night, then I saw the box score this morning and see I got the 2 right.

No one on the Hornets is trying to "get theirs". Baron Davis, Lee Nailon and PJ Brown are the top 3 "go to guys" on that team as it should be. Boki is barely cracking the 8 man rotation. He's routinely being outplayed by Dan Dickau(similar minutes) and Chris Anderson(less minutes).

Not in the since that he is going to be a Dale Ellis clone.

You do know the Dale Ellis story don't you?

Dale was drafted by Dallas but could not get any playing time because he was always in Dick Motta's dog house. Dallas eventually sent him to seattle for a bag of chips and some toilet paper. Dale then turned into a damn good player.

Similar story for Detlif Schrempf and the Mavs.

Boki is his own player but it worries me that he is going to get confidence with more playing time and turn into a damn fine player and we will have nothing to show for it.

You think he's going to become the NBA's alltime leading 3 point shooter or a several time all star? Uhhh...

For every Dale Ellis or Schrempf that was traded as a throw-in, there are 99 other guys also thrown in who were NBDL material or less.

    I'm betting the under.
