Didn't catch tonight's game, but since he's been here, he reminds me of Moochie. High socks, overdribbles, doesn't really pass that much, and besides the dallas game, struggles to shoot.

No, those numbers are clear proof that the Rockets are doing really well.

...But isin't it telling that against the 3 contending teams (DAL/DEN/NOK), BJax's +- (-1 today) is significantly below the margins of victory?

So BJ gets no credit for the Rox doing well while he's in the game?

Does anyone remember how bad we were when Rafer was out of a few games? BJ's primary responsibility is to keep our second team from losing the leads that our first team has accumulated. He seems to have done that well.

OMG the guy has 1 off game and he gets this bs? For the record, his defense is great. Paul is just too good.

He brings instant energy off the bench, and I mean instant with the press and also the speed. Obviously he's still adjusting to the Rockets not running Adelman's full offense from his Sac days, but his energy is there every game except for this last one. I think he gets a pass just because how emotional this game must have been for him.

If anyone read Chandler's blog, then they'd know that Bobby was very close with this Hornets team. Very close. Picking up kids together, etc.

I expect him to totally smack Devin Harris around next game. Hell he can't be any worse than Bonzi (DNP-CD) or James.

his ability to make shots, no matter how or when he did, his hard nose defense, his energy of the bench and his playoffs experience, is the reason why he is on rox. His shooting % is low, but no one will leave him open like the way they leave Alston to double team Tmac.

Bobby Jackson was known as a Rocket Killer . In his first game for the Rockets he showed that he was still that same player. Ever since I have been concerned that some of his attempts might be considered half hearted!!

Jackson has always been a great scorer around the basket.

Tonight these same shots looked like Jackson had difficulty in getting his arms to go into the verticle position and some of the in the paint shots looked like they never had sufficient power to take the ball over the edge of the net.

What has suddenly happened to him, or is it poor judgement? :p

No. I wouldn't give Chuck Hayes credit for the Rockets' improved offense either ;) . Hopefully, after this last rant (really not in the mood to hate anymore :/), you might be able to understand my frustration with Bjax.

The thing is, and maybe some stat-guy can pull out some stats and make me see the light of my hater ways...but it just seems that Bjax, overall, is a negative to the Rockets system.

Defense-Terrible to mediocre. Almost every instance I've seen Bobby play defense, it's in a bad light; whether it's teams delightling in isolating him, Lowry breezing by him or Pargo dismissing him, I just don't see it. In contrast, while I think Brooks struggles with bigger PGs who post him up, he seems to do decent to par at keeping in front of his man, which is half the battle with the quick PGs that populate the WC. Bobby can barely even stand in front of any of those young uns; don't even get me started on what I've seen of his P/R defense.

Ballhandling-Sub-par. Yes, he handles decently and never really gets any turnovers off the dribble...but the guy holds it for way too long and oftentimes, doesn't do anything with it.

Passing-Par. Pretty good when he does decide to pass, but mostly routine stuff. Still, props for being under control most of the time.

Shooting-WTH. WHY DO YOU SHOOT ON ONE LEG BOBBY JACKSON?

Baldness-Wow. That guy is like the baldest guy I have ever seen.

Finally, I think AB should be given a chance in this system. Bug-eye shooter with quickness to boot? I like.

Also, Rockets backup PG problem=not fixed, which is a problem.

Finally, I made this mostly because after 1 game, Bobby Jackson fans were already saying people with like-minded thoughts to me should eat crow. The bitter old hater in me had to retort somehow.

Bjax had a bad game, but so what he has been steady for the Rockets...and makes the right pass at the right time....

He is ok for a backup PG.

I wish RA would have let AB in for a while.. but BJ was just having a bad game.

Man when the Rocks are playing as a team winning 18 straight, we shouldnt be dogging any player. Every player will have bad games. That's what is nice about this team, they pick up each other's games. Rockets are playing the best team ball in NBA rt now in my opinion. But please no complaints about this team rt now.

Just another example of Van Gundy bringing in his OLD players instead of developing young talent even when these "vets" are horrible, washed up players.

Thank you for shedding some light on this terrible thread. He knows the offense, he's our backup pg, Chris Paul is a quality pg, we won

    Cut him some slack....

Should we bring back mike james?

For awhile there, I thought he may have forgotten what team he was on. He was really helping the Hornets out.

not even close, BJ is in Houston and in this game for more than 1 reason.

    1. Dump MJ salary
    2. A good expiring contract for next year
    3. A veteran with playoff experience, which none of our current team has it except for Mutumbo
    4. He is familiar with RA offense
    5. AB has been been worst than BJ especially shooting the ball
    6. He is familiar with what NO does and maybe has the advantage over AB in that dept.

I want Bonzi. But I would settle for Mike James. Bobby Jackson is atrocious. I will never change my tune.

Umm, Pargo has been doing this against really good point guards and teams, as well. His play is the reason they gave up on Bobby Jackson

Are you watching the games? BJax is a pretty good mid range and 3pt shooter. Everyone has off nights.

BJAX is not longterm solution to our backup pg.
Morey will do his best to upgrade the team, dont worry.

i think he wont be here this time next year.
