I have yet to go to a synagogue, but I'd like to visit one. There's one big Sikh Temple, it is in northwest Houston, off 290 and Windfern, just before beltway 8. Anyone is welcome there.

Man..I do not know what your problem is. Do you not know where to draw the line? If you have something of substance to say (which it seems like you never do), then say it. Don't stoop so low as to intentionally insult the tenets of one's faith. That is not cool. Sometimes I think you are a 12 year old. No wonder you get punked the way you do on this BBS.

Don't take what he says to heart at all. I do not know him, but he seems to be all talk with nothing to back up his smack. Just like a bully. I am not a Sikh, but I most definitely respect your beliefs.

You're right, you didn't talk about DEEP, but you called ME an idiot, retarted, and a moron. I didn't appreciate it, that's all. It's water under the bridge now, just leave it in the past.

i did and i will continue to if you bring up issues and back them with anecdotal facts. if you don't want to be called then make a cogent argument. the stuff you are saying is like the same stuff the repubs were saying when clinton authorized the the missle attacks after the lewinsky scandal. you sound just like those idiots who were saying clinton did it to distract from monica when you post articles like lampley's which don't say anything other than anecdotal (word of the day today) stuff.

This is ridiculous. What did Slick do to anyone? He posted an article. If you don't like the article then tell why you don't like it, or why it doesn't create a sound argument.

For the record I agree that Nace's argument isn't the strongest for making the case. McMarc posted a thread that did have some stronger arguments.

But I don't see any reason for all these personal attacks on Slick. I could care less if he ever promoted a family member who may or may not be the most talented person in the world. It might be fine to even joke with him about that, but this has gone beyond joking. People sitting back and taking shot after shot at a guy who didn't do anything to anybody is as lame as it gets.

Leave it to FB to be the voice of reason. Of course, you are right and I'll apologize to slickvik69 for comments I made towards him.

I doubt very seriously anybody here really hates the guy, but his style of posting is very "attention-whoreish" to say the least. I know because I was the attention w**** here in the Fall of 2001!:D

Seriously, though, slickvik69, slow down man! Don't feel the need to post every little thing you run across. You should ask yourself one simple little question, "Will this thread generate at least 2 pages of good posts?" If you can honestly answer yourself with "no" then you probably don't need to post that thread. However, there have been PLENTY of times where I thought the answer was "yes" and I was wrong. It happens sometimes - threads can be duds. But if you are going to start a thread in this forum, you will have to be able to articulate your points very well. The posts by you in this thread (not counting the ones that were related to OCP and sikhs) never seem more to the casual observer as ones that a parrot would make so to speak. In other words, there was no substance to them. It gives the impression that you started this thread just to be trolling.

Anyway, I don't know why I am even spending this much time on this post; maybe it is the past experience I went through. And I understand the need for people to read your stuff and be interested in it - that's just human nature. We all want people to think our opinion counts or matters. But if you want those posts to be taken seriously, you are going to have make some changes - mainly with your style of posting.

That is sound advice. Lord knows I've thought posts would be of interest and were complete duds. Nothing can be done about that. It is also good to try and make them as sound as possible.

Well, this thread has generated 5 pages of decent posts, so I think it's ok. All I've done is posted an article to generate a decent discussion. Thanks for the advice though.

Thank you FranchiseBlade. I've never attacked anyone here, I've just sat back and posted certain things I thought people would be interested in. Maybe I'm the guy people take out their frustrations out on, I don't know. But thanks man, I appreciate that.
