I can't think of one MVP candidate this year that did not pick himself when interviewed. Why exactly is Rasheed Wallace on this poll??? He very loud-mouthed, but he's also one of the most unselfish team-oriented players in the league.
Allen Iverson. Anyone who thinks they're too good for practice is too egotistical for their own good.
I don't understand why so many of you feel Kobe is arrogant. I never see or hear Kobe saying things like he is the greatest/
LOL, watching the sheep get worked up about Mike James interviews reminds me of when the Iron Sheik would ask wrestling fans NOT to chant "USA" during his matches....
the title of the thread doesn't match the post explaining it as someone mentioned. i voted for Shaq because I think he has the biggest ego. However, he doesn't overvalue himself nearly as much as other players.
Well, even if he didn't give himself that nickname, he certainly refers to himself as Starbury when speaking in third person (as he often does).
Wow! What a pleaseant surprise to see my thread resurrected! Do you guys vote for people having the biggest ego based on their words or actions? Because I never really hear Kobe say things like "I am the greatest to ever play" or "I am the most dominant ever"
It was brought up in another thread, personally i dont get how Shaq didnt recieved much much more votes. but still LOL @ Mike James
Ego: Shaq. It's not even close. I've seen it all from him: Media hurting his ego and his self-glorifying. Overvaluing is totally different thing. -> MJ, Starbury. The third thing in my opinion is cockiness. Amare wins that by far.
Why is KG not on this list? Remember earlier this year whenever him & Al Jefferson were jawing at each other KG thought it was necessary to inform Jefferson of his crowning achievement of being an NBA All-Star "ELEVEN TIMES, ELEVEN TIMES, ELEVEN TIMES!!!" (Wow, you can win a popularity contest?!?!?!??!?!?! ) ...or if that doesn't do it for you just watch a home Celtics game. I'm dumbfounded by the amount of cockiness and arrogance him, Pierce and Ray Allen display. They're entirely too cocky for a team that's accomplished nothing in the grand scheme of things.
I found something funny, Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP), a wrestler, who has a character of arrogant sportive who love to play basketball said in an interview (he wasn't playin' his role) he took his character from when he was bouncer in a strip club, he meet Allen Iverson and Marbury and they were arrogant and had a big ego and everything and he took his character from them.
why does kobe have so many votes? I don't recall he ever proclaimed himself to be so good this or that, his fame and reputation is mostly given to him by the fans, and of the list of options, if anyone has the rights to have a huge ego, I think kobe's got it
katelyn: no koby: what you mean no katelyn: i said no koby: you can't say no, do you know who the **** i am katelyn: no no no no no no no no no koby: that's impossible i'm koby mother****ing bryant katelyn: no koby: don't worry bout nothin ima give you a nice autograph afterwards katelyn: no, now leave koby: bow, errrr, bend down for king koby now
it wasn't part of the question, but i voted for biggest ego relative to his ability to deliver. definitely kenyon martin. that dude thinks he's god but he's just a punk. 2-23 for 6 pts in the biggest game of his life.
