I agree with you. Yao should consider making a team change because Adelman is not the right coach for Yao Ming. JVG was a much better coach for Yao Ming, and yeah, under Adelman, Yao's game has suffered. But hopefully, Yao Ming will adjust, and somehow, learn to play under Adelman's system, and succeed. If not...then either Yao or Adelman must go. Les was an IDIOT for letting JVG go.
Its adelman fault that yao gets stuffed by the rim. or yao fumbles entery passes?.or yao is slow as a tree stump?
these haters are insane. All of the sudden a guys entire career seems to be based on 'the one dunk he missed in the 4th game of the damn year!' Are you kidding me? No one is saying Hakeem is like Yao, Hakeem is light years ahead of him, but he was light years ahead of everyone as well. god damn guys. i ca'nt believe everyone gets so worked up on this ONE game. Stop with this 'most important game of the entire year' crap. Yes it was against the celtics, but its a regular season game nonetheless. For all those guys who wanna just bad mouth yao for this one game and make stupid statements like he is a 'big liabilty' then fine, jsut don't come running back saying how awesome he was when he drops 20 and 10 on his opponents- and unless you are blind or never seen a rockets game in your life, you know that it'll happen very soon.
You can't even defend Yao Ming here without being called a "Yao-only fan". Haters wait all year for him to have a bad game so they can come out of the woodwork and made troll threads like this.
i didn't and didn't have to watch that youtube video you attached, honestly. for some reason, you're angrier than usual based on your posts i have seen in the past. calm down, man. this is game 4 of the regular season, not the finals. i'd be happier than anyone had we won the game against boston. you know they're up high on my hated-team list, for the punks on that team and for some historical reasons. but you've been posting like non-stop after the game, basing yao with many over-the-line comments. why? now you're telling your idol (mine too), the dream, about what he should've done? lol. calm down. look, yao sucked big time, no doubt. but that was like one out of 30 games. without him, and replace him with say perkins, do we still have championship aspirations this year?
feel sorry to say that, but thats true. yao ming=big liability for this team rite now. hes not the rite man for Adelman's system. when hes on the court, his def is our biggest liability and all our offence relys on his inconsist fade away jump shots lmao. and i dont think yao can adjust for the system due to lack of athletics. btw we dont need JVG type basketball anymore! ugly and boring ffs. he failed to pass 1s rd anyway. trade yao could be a winwin deal for both.
I think it's sad to see so many "fans" ready to trade Yao, fire Adleman. This was game 4 of the regular season. Yao didn't have his best game. He helped us win over 50 last year. We're probably gonna do it again this year. You think your beloved AB will lead this team to 50 wins? Come one. A little constructive criticism is one thing, but you guys who want to trade and fire people every other game, then run out and buy their jerseys when they play well...you are the bandwagon chumps the rest of us can't stand.
wow you people are unbelievable!!!!! just one game, he'll bounce back. im sure after the embarrassment he endured in tonights game we will see a meaner side of Yao.
LOL, however, Yao has put us on his back when SheMac was out injured. However, I cringe when a 7'6" G.A.M. (Grown A** Man) losses his confidence and can't dunk a basketball. This is the second time this season he has flubbed on dunks. Plus getting punked by little dudes bother me. Man up and puss someone to the floor and get a tech. All pros have their bad nights and this was horrible.
I think Les was doing what was good for the team not for Yao's stats. maybe it sounds strange to you but not everything is about Yao. Rockets team >> Yao. Yao can not ask a coach changing because that coach is not good for him or for me. again, Rockets team >> Yao, accept it. Yao's game suffered because he has no game. He was dominated by Perkins and Okur when JVG was the coach.
You people disgust me.Nobody said nothing when Yao dropped 30 on Dallas, and Tim Duncan, who is one of the best players ever, has had PLENTY OF GAMES LIKE THIS. The good come with the bad. No he's not the best player in the NBA, but he is a good player. The truth is this, He is 7'6", you are not going to have the same agility or athleticism as say, a 7 foot guy. Just like a 7 foot guy is typically not as atletic as a 6'7" guy. The most athletic guys in NBA history (MJ. Lebron, Kobe, Dr.J, Wilkins) are 6'7" guys. He is who he is. How many Centers are better than him? The focus should be on giving him a great defensive PF to complement him. Scola is good, but he's even less an athlete than Yao. He's not the only player on the floor. Teams lose together and win together. (E.G. New York Giants, Phillies, etc.) One guy can't cost you or win you a game.....but if you guys had ever actually played college or pro sports like i have, you would know that........
First, thread title is trollworthy. Maybe he believes that, but I doubt it. As everyone said, fourth game, and he doesn't have games like this often... and usually is a big part of us winning. The problem is, the anxiety about his style of play is real. Why? Because he has the size, skills, and knowledge to be BETTER THAN THAT. And we see it WAYYY too often... just usually not a full game of it. Yao has everything he needs to be dominant, but something about his mentality seems to find ways to consistently hold him back. I think most haters exaggerate, but what I do agree with is that he should be better. Bottom line, he's letting something keep him from reaching his potential. And what is sadder than unrecognized potential? Ok, some things, but you get my drift. It is frustrating. Yes, it's game four, but this should have been fixed by now, and what we are seeing, is still, after all these years, that he has some barriers from becoming as good as he can be. Now personally, I think it's mostly due to the long back to back seasons of basketball and the workload. I think if he had more energy, and had been injured less (also relative to being overworked) that we'd see less of this and more of him dominating. I will also say that he still frequently does not get officiated fairly (welcome to the Rockets), and he seems to let it make him tentative at times. But honestly, I'd rather see him foul out playing hard than watch him stare because he's skittish, as people who are a foot shorter than he is are abusing him in the paint because someone blocked his shot and the refs are letting people play him tough. bottom line, stop letting the league dictate who you are, Yao, and do what you can do. If it means fouling out, so be it. Better than being a "liability" WHEN THAT IS HAPPENING or worse being benched because you just can't seem to do what you should be doing.... dominating.
You make fun of be Yao. You are no good and should go and put head in water for long time til no more breath you have. Yao played like this on purpose to fool the opponents of Boston. He is as the tiger in the weeds and will pop a big one on the opponents when they be not looking. You should be buried in your back yard.
How Yao comes back and plays on these road games will tell us where he really is mentally and physically. He'll either step it up or he'll wilt like a flower. After the Blazers and the Clippers the Rockets will face several playoff contending teams in the Lakers, Suns and Spurs. By the end of the road trip we ought to have our answer just in time the the Rockets to play another playoff contending team in the Hornets.
